"Bonus" turned out to be an extra life. Would have saved them a continue if they'd picked it up.

its so satisfying to see this game beaten. I used to rent it as a kid and could never figure out what to do after you got to the real world

Yeah, that's about it tho. Cool World was a pretty mediocre-bad movie, heavily messed with by studio, but Ralph Bakshi's art direction was still fantastic as always.
