I bought one of these about a week ago and just got it today, WOW! I too am loving it, Only thing is the drain tube is small still trying to figure out how to drain it and when to. I can’t express how EASY it was to install.This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

If the hose isn’t screw on tight will that case for hot air to come out I had mines on 61 and it blew cold air for like 5 minutes then right back to hot air.

I didn't see a net on the tube to prevent bugs from being sucked into the unit. Does the unit shoot bugs into the room through the vents?

How is the ac holding up? Does it still cool the rooms and how big are they?

its not removing the hot air in the house, it is compressing refrigerant and blowing a fan on the evaporator coils. The heat comes from compressing the refrigerant and is exhausted outside for the best cooling possible (rather than sucking it back through the fan on the cooled evaporator coils). It is like turning on max AC in your car...the unit is recirculating the cooled air inside the home rather than pulling hot air from outside

So after a year how is this? I see it working but did achieve the exact goal you wanted? Are there any maintenance issues? Do you still use it?

Does it work without a window?

I would really love this little machine if it didn’t switch to the hot fan longer than it did to the cooler :/ it blows cold air for like 1 min lol and the for the next five min it blows just hot air. Is that how it normally cycles?

Does the adjustable part that goes on the window work for a basement size window?

Its not removing the hot air in the house. That hot air is actually the heat that the motor produces

Curious if these can be used in a window that’s not covered by a porch. I’m concerned about rain/sprinklers either getting in the exhaust vent or getting in the window if I fail to seal it perfectly during installation.
