If you want to utilize the non talking animals more, you could start a joke nature show and narrate their shenanigans. Tho honestly I would love them to all be characters, but only one at a time. That way Dabchick could go full bird while the Raptor drops a sponsor. I love it when he's just an adorable chick while you address the audience. The duality works and I'd love the others to explore it as well.
