I have admired Dr.West for many years. His intelligence, philosophical outlook and endless knowledge on important matters is just incredible! I watched a video of him speaking to a crowd at Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem and now this video. I have to say, I STILL have no idea what his policies are. I think running president is a waste of time for such an incredible mind. He is capable of doing so much more for the human race. Nuff said.

Love brother Cornel West, who so eloquently speaks from the heart and shines like a soulful human spotlight. First discovered Cornel West from a framed portrait in a cafe in Berlin, 2016. His photo was accompanied by a framed portrait of Julian Assange and Robert Dinero and few other famous faces. The owner of the cafe who if recall was Russian, asked me, “What do you think connects all these people represented in the portraits?” He replied, “Humour”. Humour is love in communicative action. “Peace” “I would dream to see a decoupling of the five eyes in the foreseeable future.”

Adolphe Sax began to make his own instruments at an early age, entering two of his flutes and a clarinet into a competition at the age of 15. He subsequently studied performance on those two instruments as well as voice at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.[4][5] Sax faced many brushes with death. As a child, he once fell from a height of three floors, hit his head on a stone and was believed dead. At the age of three, he drank a bowl full of acidic water, mistaking it for milk,[6] and later swallowed a pin. He received serious burns from a gunpowder explosion and once fell onto a hot cast-iron frying pan, burning his side. Several times he avoided accidental poisoning and asphyxiation from sleeping in a room where varnished furniture was drying. Another time young Sax was struck on the head by a cobblestone and fell into a river, almost dying.[7] His mother once said that "he's a child condemned to misfortune; he won't live". His neighbors called him "little Sax, the ghost".[7]

Ya, vote 3rd party regardless-but from a strategic point of view Jill Stein for Greens will be on all ballots it seems and has political currency. Wish Cornel had stuck it out in the Greens. He had Jill’s endorsement and a huge historical platform-that was the ticket. Now we are splitting the power of the “alternative challenge to corporate empire” vote.

Nobody would (nor should) vote for this man. Because he's completely unserious. DueDissidence channel has covered his rally in NYC, nobody showed up, like not even 100 people. Remarkably, almost none of them black. 1)His campaign manager Peter Daou was (by all accounts) a deep state operative who dropped out late in the game. 2)He self-sabotaged by dropping from the Green party ticket due to a (IMO) petty ideological difference. Now he has no meaningful ballot access, has no organization behind him, and is a mockery of the left.

Cornel West is an amazing spiritual intellectual man and to think that he doesn't need to run for President. There is nothing for him to gain out of being attacked for trying to put the needs of the suffering People before his own. Not even Jill Stein has the type individual inspiring strength that Cornel West has and she knows it. This is much more than a color of a party, this is about putting the needs of the people before corporate bought political parties. We need Cornel West for President in 2024 because Progressives never give up,never surrender.

@@kane_lives It is true that he has no chance. But we all knew that from the very beginning of his campaign. On the other hand, Yanis's movement does not score very high in the polls either, but we still believe it is important to listen to him. This is important for other reasons, namely for the sake of learning. Yanis is fond of disagreeing with fellow leftists, which I think is important. For me, it is about seeing what kind of disagreement Yanis might have with Cornel.

Great interview guys. Something that did irritate me a bit though was brother Cornell's answer to the "what can we do about it question?" For thousands of years people treated getting along harmoniously and settling tribal differences as a priority. There are actually methods of dialogue and other means of building interconnection. They just take work and making it a priority. This is not to say that either brothers Raoul or Cornell would argue with this sentiment, I just think it needs to be said. Too many progressives are just waiting for the other side to realise how intrinsically wrong they are. On this front can recommend a book called Treading Lightly. It busts a myth that Aboriginal Australians only had to work a few hours a day. They were working a lot more than that, but the work was about social connectivity. Check it out!

We need a more moral and ethical public. The politicians come from the public - its cultures. The Right talks all the time of being in a culture war. The political Left rarely if ever talks about the values/culture Liberalism is rooted in. The Right speaks of the culture of Western civilization, religious and family values, but the Left don't say much about the relationship between family values and socialist/safety net policies. They speak little about the individual's social/civic responsibilities other than to ask them to vote. That is a fundamental reason for our lack of greater policy gains in recent decades.

Its interesting to me that he uses white supremacy as the force behind the vision that palestinian babies arent seen as being of the same value as Israeli babies. Most jews do not consider themselves white. It often makes me wonder why people arent blaming Jewish supremacy seeing as Dr. West talked about how power and money is leading the charge of genocide around the world. For an example of how Jewish Supremacy is effective not just around the world, but also in America, look no further than AIPAC. Im curious if the Dr considers AIPAC a form of white supremacy.

First you call the interviewer " My dear brother" or "My dear sister", then you say " neo fascism and neo liberalism" a bunch of times, then you pretend to care about the Palestinians for a couple minutes, and of course you have to make sure that everybody sees the John Coltrane album covers you have hanging on the wall.
