You can believe its too early for a sheriffs office, but still desire to run it at the same time. If the opening of an office is inevitable, then might as well be the one to lead it to make sure its done right.

That was months ago, when the PD was still undermanned and growing, of course they didn't need it back then.

I haven't watched the PD and other crim characters as much anymore, state of the server and all the good pd characters leaving or being sent packing by state. Then you got no actual management of the PD EU timezone always get no cops and snr command. EU crims can't RP because they feel bad about the cops and many of them complain about the server state. I mean its better to admit it than just being called a hater or a chat hopper.

Thats called entitlement, cornwood never treated his chain of command with respect always viewed himself above them and only saw the sheriffs office as a way to police how he wants without caring for rules thats all its been for him and he was naïve enough to think other people wouldn't pick up on just how he wanted to police which would not be fun for crims so they moved to tip the scales away from him. Just cause someone spends more time doesn't make them the better fit since its not fair to people who do RP but have real jobs so they literally can't live online, if anything staying on the council being PD liaison is the best thing for him if he truly wants to help the PD since he can lobby for new legislation and advocate for more budget etc. in a way it has more power then any other PD position since if he wants to change SOPs and such the council is the place to do it and their authority trumps sheriff or chief or even commissioner so rather then be a loose cannon just cause no one in the PD can punish you, just change the rules through the council. He had to put it to city vote otherwise it'd put a bad taste in people's mouths to have him basically pull strings to make himself a position above everyone in the PD just cause he doesn't like respect anyone in his chain of command something he hasn't learned in the 3 months of turmoil with the 3 captains nearly losing his job in the process, his character has literal 0 character development.

Esfand has seemed torn between that and being emotional support char for the less experienced cops + his persona likely would have gotten him fired. It doesn't mix well with the hard-ass RP frog police in the city, so I think the only way it would have worked for him would be to be admin appointed sheriff and have a completely separate dept. with a different philosophy, not subject to the LSPD crapshoot. They could operate more as a rag tag street gang perhaps and do more fun/stupid shit, but without these ridiculous punishments for both cops and crims.

How the flying YUCK does CG have ANY involvement with this at all? I feel like you're just looking for a boogyman. CG had a meeting with cornwood, it didnt go well. They had a meeting with bones it went better. They voted bones (but i think ramee voted for cornwood while playing conan, because ramee ooc believes cornwood should have had it). And that was the end of the story. CG never pressured anyone to vote one way or another. CG didnt do any campaigning for him. Nothing. If you somehow think that CG managed to somehow get SIXTY (60) PEOPLE to vote bones instead of cornwood, and that is the reason why bones won, you are huffing WAY too much copium, and need to go outside.

What does CG have to do with any of this? They were only a tiny fraction of the entire vote, they didn't even actively campaign for him. Why not blame Hydra, the Saints, Besties, Civ Gang, the Manor, the Clowns, most of the Doctors, etc.? Bones had the support of the majority of the largest groups on the server, yet you had to bring CG into this?

I was just saying anytime you’re going against the biggest crime group on the server it’s going to be difficult to win.
