Fred Gee was a brilliantly created character - short tempered and aggressive but very unhappy and vulnerable underneath. And he was so funny with Bet and Mrs Walker - Bet's best Corrie days I reckon, before she became landlady and became much less funny.

Thank you so much for the upload, I am really enjoying these episodes, it's like a history lesson. I am no feminist, especially by the present day definition of what one is, but my God, WHY the hell were men so dependent on women to cook for them, and women dependent on men to fix their plugs and do maintenance jobs? LEARN to do things for yourself, be independent, and that goes for BOTH sexes. It all looks so ridiculous looking back to how people lived.

Bert "you know what I mean" Tilsley was absent from the end of April until a brief appearance in mid July. The actor then suffered a stroke, losing the use of his left arm, thankfully losing "you know what I mean" from his vocabulary, and sadly slowing him down. He reappeared in December 1982.

Peter was arrested in 81 for exposing himself in a toilet and again for public indecency, he had 2 trials, shortly after he had a stroke, which affected his left side, which is covered in a later storyline, a lot of these storylines were filmed months in advance
