I am loving the Hayley and Roy storyline. Excellent portrayal provided. I've been watching it again almost 24 years later. Life goes on and for most people that have survived the hatred and bigotry, however there are still haters out there to this day. I am a gay and trans supporter and always have been. If Jim remained in his wheelchair forever, he wouldn't of had the stories that he had in later years, such as the manslaughter of Jez Quigley, the armed robbery, his prison stints, manipulating Peter and the "Katie back from the dead" storyline. He might have been miserable in his wheelchair, but he wouldn't be languishing in prison and would also still have some respect from his family and neighbours. Although he still would have ended up with Myotonic Dystrophy. Still, despite how Jim reacted in the restaurant scene here, I still think that was a stupid move from that man to try his chances with a woman who was already there with a man anyway.
