Right now, coming out as trans has to be one of the scariest things you could do. The amount of hate that is normalized online can’t be easy to see especially if you were questioning your gender. I can’t believe so many people are convinced that they’re doing it to “fit in” or “be trendy.”

Just wanna point out that people have been studying trans people since the 30s, especially in Germany, but a certain party came to power there that burned all those studies

Magnus Hirschfeld studied trans people at his Institut für Sexualwissenschaft (Institute of Sex Research) which was open from 1919 until the Nazis destroyed it in 1933 and held a book burning.

8:50 is the biggest issue with people with the caller's beliefs. He's just like a relative I talked with about this sort of thing. They think that if a little boy asks to play with a Barbie or if a little girl asks to play with a football, that they are rushed away and pumped full of hormones. The caller literally said he changed his mind a week later. But when it comes to trans youth, it is an active rejection of the gender assigned at birth over many years after hours of talking to a therapist/psychologist. It's not some rushed thing. But if this guy is anything like my relative, if you explain that to them, they'll still find the whole thing "icky" and be against it.

Lionesses STILL hunt while they take care of the cubs, too. Males have no part in the rearing of newborns or care of the mothers. The female will separate from her sisterhood (because males are usually not related to the lionesses, but the lionesses are almost always related) to give birth somewhere semi-safe. Then she'll hide them while she solo hunts. Males are just there to mate, essentially, they may protect their older cubs or mates, but the females are the landlords of the pride. If they dont think the male is doing what they hired him for, he gets attacked until he leaves.
