Me too. Right from the 1st episode Seth is so good and on top of this new format. His remote shows during the pandemic truly sharpened his skills and Corrections is the result.

That "NO" sign was clearly incorrect though! Clearly they _could_ make a sign such as he described, but they _chose not to_. (So clearly, what they should have displayed was a "YES" sign. Obviously.)

I went back and rewatched all of the Corrections and this is the first mention of us all as “Jackals” and I love it. The epitome of pedantry.

To correct both you and Douglas here, it's "jackal" - neither "jackel" nor "jacket". I know, because I was that jackal commenting last week. (edit: since my correction, Ryan has corrected his "jacket" mis-spelling. Thankfully it was mis-corrected to "jackel", which is still wrong, though I like to think it was on purpose, so as not to ruin my whole comment. If that's true, then you have my gratitude, sir.

As an Austrian I feel qualified to say that Seth's Werner Herzog impression is indeed quite good. His Christoph Waltz impression, on the other Hand, is terrible. Actors from Vienna don't have enthusiasm. They just have a special kind of madness that is sometimes confused for enthusiasm.

It was very pragmatic of him to describe such a nebulous and arduous subject as the quandries of pedantic and pedandry via noun and adjective, it might have seemed condescending or facetious or may have given off airs of pretention, however, it was just awesome and funny.

It’s amazing how well Seth’s adjusted to being more internet centric even when he came back to the studio, I think a lot of other late night shows want everything to go back to how it was but Seth will be remembered more for how he embraced the change.

After correcting yourself about spelling BOOBS on the calculator, You said to the teacher that you were just doing the Eighty Thousands. You would have actually been doing the Fifty Thousands.

i feel like your suggested correction doesn't make any more sense than the original. "doing the fifty thousands" suggests that some number in that range is part of the *input* of your calculations; you would never describe your calculation by its *output* .

And a typical example of an incorrection! Adjective nominalisation is a very common feature of English, particularly certain kinds of literature and spoken language. Whether it has already gone far enough for it to be a dictionary entry is utterly irrelevant - it is very common usage by the educated and uneducated alike. See?

Seth use to be one of the late show hosts that I didn’t really pay attention to. The pandemic forcing the show to be done at his home has really made the real Seth come out. This is easily the best late night show now. Like ever.

Soooooooooo yeah... not to be pedantic, since it makes this seem forced, but... when quoting inside a quotation, it's proper to set the sub-quote off with apostrophes. Also the pedantic/pedantry part had me in tears laughing.

Quite literally laughed aloud, and rather forcefully, at the anectode about John Malkovich describing his evening to Seth Meyers. The greatest irony is, as much as I love the actor, I've never seen Being John Malkovich.

The utter joy of the crew at this segment is like a ball of sunshine straight into my heart. 6:32 - Perfection (Seth needs to use the Waltz impression a lot more! A new favourite - nothing beats Herzog though)

As a voice actor, I feel these "impression" corrections on a deep spiritual level. "Your (blank) sounds like (blank)" No no no you're just not listening. -Repeats all impressions for emphasis-

Ever since I got cancer I've had WAY TOO MUCH time on my hands and I must say the weekly corrections is what I look forward to every Friday morning now. I'm a Mets fan and have cancer so it doesn't get much worse.

@@rachelrachel9152 Ah, so flubs don't count? I missed that but it also excuses his previous mixup of alligators and crocodiles when he improvised at the end of that segment. It feels good to sometimes reduce the number of corrections but lets make sure it never hits zero.

I feel that Late night shows really have become better due to covid, they dont rely on their audience for laughs making them work more on actually being entertaining towards the people watching on both tv and youtube
