I have been a professional Magician for 15 years and I genuinely love what he said about not classing himself as a magician....... However, I personally believe and I'm sure most would in the brotherhood that you have developed this to such an art form we would class you, Magician :) amazing stuff I have followed his work for years always love trying to figure out the puzzle :)

I have done CGI for Hollywood movies for 10 years, and these stuff still fascinates me.

A theory piggybacking off of Wren’s is that there were ladders being moved inn and off position throughout the shot, but the paint and ladder is green/blue, so that way it is even more seamless

I love the fact that he doesn't call himself a magician That's pretty humble considering how much work he puts into his vids

4:03 Zach and the ladder's shadow colors don't match 4:07 shadow colors do match My theory: The ladder is projection mapping, but the visible one is missing part of it, so when Zach walks up to the wall, he spray paints in green, which would later be chroma keyed out to reveal a duplicate projection mapped ladder but with the missing piece, as well as clean footage of the wall before he spray painted (I am assuming he used some form of complicated camera rig to match up the movement perfectly, maybe adding some extra 'handheld' camera movement in editing) but when he reaches down to put it back, the motion hides an EXTREMELY well done clean cut or something like that, to add a real ladder, and the full projection-mapped ladder is removed in editing, so you can't see the green spray paint (or maybe they just washed it off) and after he goes up it around here: 4:15 the camera rig/in editing makes the camera wiggle into place while quickly transitioning back to the projection mapped ladder, as Zach grabs onto a rope or something which then pulls him up just in time for the security guard to do his bit, before the camera goes back to Zach climbing over the roof. And I assume the parts where Zach and the guard are both in the shot, they're separate elements. So it might have been this with some extra editing to make everything seamless, or maybe I'm COMPLETELY off XD

You two should play that instrument more often at the end of vids, it was absolutely lovely and Was so pleasing to listen and daydream to.

3:37, I was totally expecting him to go into the stop motion thing where they hold the last frame in overlay so you can see where you left off.. And then he tells about "people marking you position" and I lolled so hard. That's so low-tech yet creative 😂

So cool! And yah, people in body suits with motion trackers and green screens are just crap. 90% of companies just add MORE blur to hide the blur between the person and the background and it shows. (And a whole host of other issues.)

this is it. the perfect balance between cgi and practical fx
