Corsair has dipped its toes in the dual chamber case market previously with the 280X, 680X and the Air 540 but today Corsair makes its return to dual chamber cases with the 6500 and 2500 Series. In this video, we look at the larger 6500X with dual tempered glass panels, EATX motherboard support and reverse connector motherboards including MSI Project Zero and Asus BTF. But can this new dual chamber case from Corsair compete with the likes of the Lian Li O11D series, Hyte Y60/Y70 and the superb value of the Montech King 95?

That is great Corsair improved Cristal edition Architecture case. This chase is very optional with possibility to set up stealth motherboard as well. And it is deep as well what allows to install thick side radiator. And I do like complete side mesh panel that looks fresh and stylish. Great product.

I was switching my PC's case to get one that had better cooling a few months back, I ended up going with the airflow version of this case. I've gotta say that I do love the case. One thing I do need to point out. My PCIe slots for where the GPU screws into were also slightly off, slightly further back than other cases on the market. This was honestly a good thing! One of my biggest concerns was that with there being no floor from a PSU shroud, I couldn't use my GPU support bracket (I have one of the ones that is just a screw pillar). The PCIe screws being further back are actually putting more force onto the GPU, so much that it isn't sagging like it would've in my previous case, the GPU is perfectly level which I feel like may be by design... Struggle to get it in, but once it is, it really holds well! The need to pay extra for the cable management straps did kind of bug me, but I solved this by just 3D printing my own and putting some velcro straps I already had in them.

The Montech King 95 makes this look dead on arrival for £70 less, or you can get the Pro version with full case fans and a fan+RGB controller for £51 less, and everything is white, removable rad mounts etc. Or like you said just spend the same money and get the O11 Evo with a richer featureset. I feel like it would need a price revision to be competitive.

I'm just hoping for a bigger full size ATX version that supports a 420mm radiator. Aside from a few other nitpicks I love the case and the support for wood panels! Almost perfect! That is of course if this supports vertical GPU mounting. Also get rid of the white strip on the front glass panel on the right side. Would look much cleaner and less outdated like the New O11 Dynamic from Lian Li. Especially with this price.

I fail to see the point of this case for anyone outside diehard Corsair fans, pun not intended. Most O11 inspired cases from other brands compete on price, while the 6500X shown here is $40 more expensive for no discernible reason. The amount of flex on the rear panel is unacceptable for a case of that price. Looks like I'll be sticking with Lian Li for my next build.

Not sure if I'm being stupid but here's an issue I had during my build with this 6500x case and an MSI B650 Project Zero which is a back connecting motherboard I had an issue where the 3.5 inch bay on the back hits the CPU connectors and had no other choice but to omit the module itself so to create enough space for the cable Another one was since this motherboard is an m-ATX, the power supply hits the back connectors such as audio and usb2.0 and it literally makes the power supply not fit (eventually had to force the power supply in without the audio connector) i'm still looking for a way to fix these; if anyone has the same kind of issues but found a way to fix it, please let me know otherwise the case looks awesome very happy with how it looks; just those 2 problems bothering me

I got mine in early march. Gorgeous Project 0 build. However, I got the vertical GPU mount a week ago, now that its in stock, and the GPU temps are about 5-10° higher than they were when mounted horizontally. Still well under anything to be concerned about... I've got 3 140's on the bottom (blowing in), 3 120's on the side (blowing in), NZXT 360 elite on the top (blowing out, 'cause i paid attention in class when they taught us heat rises, no change in the CPU temps, btw) and nothing on the back. (Its hard to find a single Thermaltake SWAFAN EX 14 ARGB... Anyone wanna split a 3 pack with me? 🤣🤣 (Seriously, though...)

I don't want to come off as a Corsair hater but... I just feel like their stuff is ehh, if not just a tad overpriced for what they're offering. This case is great if you have a motherboard with reversed connectors. But if it's a regular motherboard, there's plenty of alternatives like the ones the video description name drops. $20 USD more gets a base model Y70 which includes a vertical raiser (not that you have a choice with that case), and $40 less gets you a NZXT H9. Half the price of the 6500X gets you either a base model King 95 or a NZXT H6. And all those are great dual chamber cases too.
@garetht677
@garetht677 Ай бұрын
I guess the obvious answer as of today the 3rd of may 2024. is the lack of options on reverse connect motherboards. Yes the MSI project zero board exists...but it's an m-atx board AM5 version with limited m.2 slots, great option for the 2500 version of this though. The Asus BTF boards are only Intel, no AM5 option yet. with a market like that oh boy do I feel spoiled for choice........ But what you can do is buy a case that supports that now and when the time comes change the board.

nope. when I purchased the case I also purchased a generic GPU vertical mount kit, but they have a proprietary bracket for the back. For what it is, i feel it's overpriced and things like the King 95 kinda make this look like a bad joke. The only thing i guess some people would like is the 4 usb on the front i/o, but how many people really want or even need that and maybe the different panels could be nice.

The King 95 is great value, it's built well and offers all the hardware support most gamers will need, it's difficult to see past it.

The lack of full 140mm support is the main reason i wouldnt buy this case. Such a shame. Especially since corsair is one of the only people that make a 420mm aio. Which i own! 😤

why does a 420 aio even exist? That's a complete waste of a radiator for any single pc part.

@garetht677 it's for people that want a system to run quiet but not sacrifice poor thermals. Plus it looks like in my case. It just fills it out

With all upper end mobos having 3.2 2x2 USB type a headers, why does Corsair put 3.2 gen 1 USB type a ports on it's case?
