On the Santa boots u could have wrapped the bottom more then put the clay on bottom too. Paint it black. With a pencil make an indentation around the boot to look like a sole.

I love this video! Vintage Christmas decorations are magical to me. Yes, they are a lil tacky (now) but back in the day they were beautiful and they still are to me. Every year I wish I could find some pieces from my childhood to decorate my house. Now I realize I can make them! ❤️❤️

The Vintage Christmas Aesthetic isn't how I choose to decorate for Christmas, but it reminds me of how my grandma's use to decorate for Christmas, and I do appreciate it. I know why it's been widely requested. It's nostalgic.

As a child of the 50's Santa always had a white fluffy ball at the end of his hat. I remember the Sears Santa with his beautiful deep red suit and real looking fur.

If you stand back and really look at those decorations and you remember very well how magical all of it looked as a child……. You’ll see it was the children and their delight and excitement that made those Christmas decorations look like a wonderland! Not gaudy nor silly just the most wonderful time of the year.

I love retro decor for Christmas. For me, there is never to much glitz. That’s just what I remember as a child. When I craft for Christmas, I have to control myself, cause I just want to over do glitz. My mantra is “less is more.” 😂 Love your crafts. Great memories.☃️

I wanted to add sbout the present that filled the whole living room floor snd more. Most gifts were handmade by Mother. Most wrapped in the colored funny section from the Sunday paper. We were so appreciative of sll we were given. Wow i got a transitor radio and white go go boots with pom poms. Those days there were no electronics at all. Simple days simple times. Happy Days!

As I'm watching this video it brought me back to the Christmases of my childhood. We were a family of 10. Four girls and 4 boys. We had a silver tinsel tree with a reflector that sat on the floor and changed colors from red,blue yellow and green. My Mom would climb out her bedroom window to put a plastic huge Santa on a sleigh. The colors were bright and seemed as if tinsel was on everything. Firetrucks road thru the streets slowly with Santa throwing boxes of ribbon candy to all us kids. What memories this has brought back to me just thru these decorations and ornaments. The books the little golden books were such a part of the anticipation of Christmas. Love this and hope you have more.

New subscriber, and I'm only 26 minutes into this video, but I've got to say you NAILED the retro vibes with these first three projects. The moment you sprinkled glitter right onto the lightbulbs of the "candelabra", I literally exclaimed "YESSSSSS" out loud (scared my husband)!
