Cost of Installing permanent mobile home foundation for single wide manufactured home. as part of this spec home project I wanted to make sure the home had a good foundation to sit on and here is the video showing how we installed the concrete runners from start to finish as well as some cost detail for this particular project.

Now is that process used in making that as a form of permanent real estate or just better practice so that the buyer never has to re level it over the years?

Hey @dennisperusse3837 as I understood it…if the manufactured home buyer wants to get FHA or VA financing one of the many requirements is that the home be affixed to a permanent foundation…these runners had to be designed by an engineer for that home to sit on…it does also in my opinion raise the overall quality of the property too that the home sits on concrete and shouldn’t have problems with shifting/level and just seems better than a manufactured home on dirt pad…all is kind of relevant to the area and lot where the home is going to be placed. Hello! I am looking to purchase my first home , most likely a single wide or a double wide. I am planning on building the permanent foundation for it. Any tips or what I should ask when searching for a crew? I’m 26 and have no idea about this stuff.. any information will be helpful

I’d probably just talk to the home dealer and ask who they use and question them about the way they would do the job, then with that information in mind call other concrete contractors and see what kind of price they give you, then you can even take the lowest bid and use it to negotiate down the price you got from the crew the home dealer recommended.
