If you wash your blueberries, place in a single layer on a cookie sheet and freeze them, then put in ziplock, they will stay fresh and not be all frozen in a ball.. It works great!

Finish for dishwashers has been around for years here in the US! Yes! Double Bubble is an original American bubble gum. I use to chew it as a kid in Texas! I love lime sparkling water! We also now have small cans of different fruit flavored sparking water without sugar. I don't like Nutella. I love Perrier....lemon or lime!

This is a great one. I love watching shopping videos from Japan and China, and this is one of the longest I've seen ever. The layout looks a lot like the Home Depot stores here in the States. Thanks for the vid. :)

You need a mid-size car minimum in North Amerca Costco. You need the room for the bathroom tissues and water alone takes half your trunk space.

This was so enjoyable to watch. I mean who doesn't love Costco!? Buy the Chia seeds. Make lemonade and put about 2 tsp of it in there. It is great for digestion.

When I go to Costco here in Hawaii I have to drive to the other side of the island... but so worth it. Especially for the fruit and veggies!!!

Had to double check what year this was made. Chia and Quinoa has been everywhere for the past 3-4 years in north America. Chia pudding is actually really good and I think would fit Japanese tastes very well- it is like a softer tapioca ball that has slight fruit flavor but picks up flavors of other ingredients quite well and is lightly sweet. Quinoa... not so sure that is probably something few Japanese would use much.

Thank you for letting me know what to expect from Costco in Japan! Also, the "Japanese" cherries were Rainier cherries...these are from Washington state names after Mt.Rainier.

I enjoyed watching the produce shopping. I work at a luxury hotel here on Maui and when we get big groups of Japanese guests they just devour the fruit plates we set out. It's nice! I love those huge Fuji grapes!

Yay Costco! Love the card picture lol! You have amazing restraint when it comes to food shopping John, I'd of bought loads more fruits, bread, the apple tart and flan and just got a cab home. Thanks for the insight and hope the food court wasn't to long a wait.

fun fact: These escalators don't use magnets. They have special wheels made off multiple (two or more) thin discs that slide into the gaps of the escalator. Inside or outside of the wheels are non-movable parts that then rest on the surface of the escalator and stiction does the rest. Yay physics! (ᵔᴥᵔ)

First time I came across those it took me a LONG time to figure out how they worked. It actually took several trips and some close observation, and until I figured it out it bothered me to no end. I thought they were magnetic, too. Now I need to find out what a "superchat" is.... ^_^;;

Finish dishwasher detergent used to be Electrasol dishwasher detergent. They changed the name some time ago. Maybe 6 or 7 years ago? Chia seeds people eat because it's heart healthy and loaded with fiber. I find them in a lot of breads or muffins etc. They're also the same that's spread on those terra cotta "chia pets" ppl give as gag gifts or for kids to grow at home. Quinoa (pronounced: keen-wah) can be made similar to couscous or rice.

Things like cakes and pies, you can freeze if it's too much to eat at once. You can also freeze cheese and butter etc.

I love Costco no matter how hard you try you always end up walking out with more than you planned and it's almost impossible to stay in budget. Besides pizza a costco hot dog are the best there at the concession

It's like Sam's club and Costco in Hawaii. A lot of local brands that visitors have no clue what they are.😂 we were literally just talking about Costco out there. We weren't sure if an American Costco membership would get us through the door. Thanks for answering that!!

Your Costco card is amazing! You crack me up with that! I find really funny that the Japanese are into bulk shopping. Usually they only buy what they need in that day or week right? Keep doing the daily chores videos. They convey really how living in Japan is like. How about to go to. Government office? Can you video chat there?

Yellow cherries also come from America. The package on the lighter ones literally say "Rainier" because they were developed in Washington state, so they're named for Mt Rainier.

Quinoa is a semi cereal much appreciated for its nutritional value and you can cook it like you do with rice only much faster and you can eat it with vegetables and sos..many different recipes with quinoa. And chia its an amazing food. They get gelly once they are put in liquides. I put mine in rice milk and i make them like a pudding with banana and other fruits or you can make it salty with different oils and onions. Its very healthy food for your everyday diet.

In NYC's Costcos they carry roasted seaweed, jajangmyeon, Itoe green tea, and a lot of other products to cater to the customers that live here. 😀

Hi great channel i have watched it for year's but i wanted to say in europe we also get hot days not always but sometimes and when i stock up on ice it's melted when i get back because it usually takes me 2-3 hours so now when need to get something like ice i just bring either a coolbox with me or just a small bag with tin foil (i got mine with my bento box) and a ice pack for a coolbox you might think it's silly looking but try then see ^^

Finish is a product from Germany. It used to be named Calgonit. It's origin comes from Pforzheim :)

Finish was top rated for dishwashers and I used to buy it but find Costco (Kirkland) brand works just as well for much less money. Most Kirkland items are good value.

Chia seeds are what you get with Chia Pets.. you remember those, right? Mix them with water and they swell up into a goo, much like basil seeds do. Apparently that's the "fiber" that's supposed to be good for you. I think people mix it with fruit juices and such to get fiber. We don't use Chia seeds here (Malaysia) but we do use basil seeds (biji selasih) - we soak them in water until they swell up and mix it with rose syrup water. More of a seasonal/festival drink than something you'll come across in a restaurant.

I used to be a total coffee snob, but then I switched to instant espresso by Nescafe, life has become much simpler now, and the taste is always on point! and I can get wayyy more caffeine much faster!

i live in Hong Kong and everytime I go back to Sydney I need to go to costco to get steak,bagels,salads,bras,undes and muffins,damn i love costco!

I know this is late but fruits which have a lot of water content also have more mold spores, so they tend to rot faster than the drier varieties. I have mold allergy so anything as juicy as a pear gives me a sore throat and flu like symptoms.

Pink cherries is called rainier cherries. They are also from USA but a little bit expensive than the regular cherries which is purple or black.

I work at Costco.. We just opened a "oriental" section with Benito and other dry fish items moto and these different types of Japanese Chinese thai items its really popular there's also pamphlets with recipes and stuff

You should always take a car or small truck / van to Costco. Also when you buy big things that might go to waist ask a good neighbor if they might want to have or buy half.

It is uncanny that I've been to Costco locations in Canada, South Korea, several in the UK, and no matter which one I'm in, I could as easily be in my local one in Marietta, Georgia. (our Costco membership cards all work in those foreign locations too)

You do know that those were 2 different types of cherry right? Not just what country. The light ones are Rainier-my fav. Lovely sweet and juicy and the dark are sweet cherries-possibly bings. You have to eat chia seeds in moderation. Emmy made in Japan has a lovely chia/coconut pudding recipe. This was fun. Thankyou! I never go to these kind of stores.🇯🇵🇺🇸🍒🍇those grapes and blueberries looked fantastic! So much money tho! How do you do it? I mean I know you've lived there a long time but...gosh! 😱😍you have way more willpower than me buddy! Good Lord. My daughter is addicted to Nutella.

Costco in US has a lot of Chinese stuff. :-) Do they have their Kirkland brand in Japan? First floor? You mean a two story Costco? That's unique to Japan! I see they have the food sample 'tasters' in the isles just like in the US. Quinoa is a rice substitute. You cook it the same way, great stuff!! I get it at Trader Joe's in the US. You really need to shlep an Igloo cooler with you to the store so you can take frozen stuff home. We have a huge one in the back of our minivan here in South Florida.
