I think that that theory is true, but your banking that the company uses pure processed fat and no protein got in, Wich not being a prescription is not required so questionable if the company would spend the money to do that. Classic in in-vitro but not in-vivo

Probiotics are good but if your puppy is having loose stool daily you need to consult your vet because it may be more than food. Probiotics are not really a treatment for diarrhea, they are more of add on benefit.

Yes I get that and I figured you wouldn’t share that info. I LOVE your reviews especially with the 1-10 scale. I’m a numbers person. Now I’m on info overload. 🤦‍♀️ We lost our golden last March from cancer we think. I think it was his food. Now we have a Newfie puppy and he was on purina puppy chow from the breeder. He’s had loose stools from the beginning. I’m starting to think it’s a chicken sensitivity. He’s been on farmers dog now for 2 weeks and it’s better but st $98 per week it’s too expensive and I can’t find a non chicken kibble that meets the guidelines. Especially calcium. They all have too much calcium. With a giant breed 8 month old puppy I don’t want too much calcium. I’m just getting really frustrated and my vet won’t recommend anything specific either. I’m ready to hand the decision over to my husband because I feel so guilty about not choosing better food for our golden that I’m afraid to make another bad choice.

@doubletakeconsignment2040 you are stressing too much. I am sorry about your golden, but I really don’t think it was food that caused your loss. I’ve practiced 15 years and I’ve never diagnosed a pet with fatal diet disorder. I think that what I’m trying to show people is that ingredients aren’t saviors and they aren’t villains, they have to work together in proper ratios and the reality is you may not be able to find a non-kibble diet that isn’t overloaded with calcium, either because it’s not chemically possible, or a company doesn’t exist that can/wants to make it. Also food allergies and sensitive are so very rare, it’s more likely your pup is just getting used to life, but that’s a question for your regular vet. Thanks for watching, I hope I at least have you some entertainment and maybe a little bit of tools to help you on your journey.

i don't have a favorite, if it fits the bill and meets the parameters, that's all that matters to me. There are some brands that tend to hit the bill more regularly, but that's not a rule.
