Queek is a great character who is horribly underimplemented in-game. He needs a unique trophy rack mechanic, something where you can kill lords of different factions to gain their heads and which ones you have equipped confer different bonuses. In addition, he should have Skar Bloodtail as a legendary hero, basically a big chieftain who has gromril armour and a two handed axe, and he should have the Crimson Guard as a unique RoR Stormvermin unit. Tretch is meh, but I think he's supposed to be. His faction definitely needs more buffs to Stormvermin tho, Tretch should be pumping out huge numbers of elite stormvermin since his clan produces most of the best Stormvermin in Skavendom. He also suffers from the systematic underpowering of buff-focused characters, and as with pretty much every character that focuses on buffing units instead of dealing damage directly he needs to have a big level up. I think it would be neat if he had two different buffs, one that's focused on running away and one on taking advantage of weak enemies. Maybe something like Festus' ability to switch between different AoEs, with +13 MA and frenzy as one and +13 MD and immune to psychology for the other. Make his running away ability an AoE unbreakable for 15 seconds or something with a speed boost and stealth to him and you potentially have a character who is still thematic but is also actually good. I also think it might be a good idea to rework the buffs to an army that has retreated ability. It's a neat idea but doesn't really work. Instead, how about in the same way that all Skaven have a chance to ambush when attacking, Tretch has a chance to ambush his enemies when attacked too, representing his ability to lay ambushes and traps. Obviously Tretch is supposed to be kind of a joke character, but so was Helman Ghorst, yet CA managed to make him a genuinely good and unique campaign. The same can be done with Tretch.

Queek was favorite until recently...im actually enjoying tretch more ..his ambush chance and storm vermin buffs...with the right items he is even a melee powerhouse...holding his own againest dwarf lords...he has regen which queek doesnt have...also you can just abandon mount greyhag and take all the mountains to the left...kill off crooked moon then karak dwarves then takes queeks shits for yourself....storm vermin + catapults and a few hero units all you need..paint the map with unstopable ambushing army

Queek is my favorite aside from the lack of extra game mechanics. I like that he buffs arguably the weakest parts of the Skaven. I remember doing a co-op Vermintide campaign with a buddy of mine who was playing as Ikit Claw while I played as Queek. He noted that my buffed Clanrats and faster Stormvermin Recruiting made my garrisons stronger and armies far sturdier than his Skaven. Clanrats with 35 armor, 40+ attack and Frenzy are quite the menace for supplemental armies. Taking Crookback Mountain for Stormvermin who are immune to terror is even better for holding enemies in place while Poison Wind Mortars end them.

Queek may be objectively better, but he's not objectively better looking.

Are 2 settlement provinces even worth occupying while playing skaven

Trecht was more unique when he started besides the Dark Elves, if you had trouble you could migrate to brettonia for easy wins. It also makes no sense for Clan Rictus to be so weak considering they are one of the richest clans with the best quality stormvermin.

Queek's bonuses against Dwarfs work with Chaos Dwarfs?

Queek's campaign is boring though. They moved him away from Thorek and made his start too easy. Khalida is not a challenge and to his north, east and west the (hostile) legendary lords are too far away. Haven't played Tretch yet but his campaign looks much more challenging (and by extension - fun) and his voice lines are a treat, so delusional and funny
