Good looking watch, but for the price I would put 50.00 more and get the Seagull 1963 mechanical chronograph.

Good review but I vehemently disagree that this is good value for $314. They didn’t even bother to put a mecha-quartz movement in it. They also could’ve integrated that date window into the 6 o’clock subdial rather than forcing it into the 430 position which imho ruined all the effort they put into making that dial pretty. The case and the bracelet look nicely finished but aren’t particularly original. Sorry, mate. This ain’t it.

Didn’t meant to imply that you claimed it to be “The BEST value.” I may have worded my response to the question a little too strongly. 😅 It’s just that it’s so far off from being anywhere near a good value at that price that it elicited such a strong reaction from me. It's a winner, the inspiration is a classic and that tied in with the quality on show here, fantastic....that particular colour is the star of the range....the brand name seems like a good one, the logo makes me smile....your man there is doing right, best of luck as they move forward....for me it's a no for no other reason than my inner madness, squares or brickwork on a dial drive me nuts....I really want to see what they come up with next, a brand to watch for sure....🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⌚🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⌚

It's a fashion watch and not a usable tool. The 60min dial is unreadable The issues are not the watch it's self but the movement. If it was a time only I'd be very interested in it. The dial is gorgeous and as you said it has a really good bracelet.

Not usable, really?? I take your point on just the time though and they do offer a high beat, automatic variant of this watch that I reviewed a while ago, may be worth a look mate. Thanks for watching 👍👍

A bit chunky for me and I'm not keen the current fashion for heavily textured dials. A better mecha-quartz or solar powered movement would have made it more compelling for those that go with the rest of the offer.

Hello and thanks for this review. This chrono is surrely good looking, but I smiled when I saw what Makydo wrote on the "box" : "We take our environnemental responsabilities seriously" ... Seriously, Makydo, you do? Really? So why, apart the cardboard around, use a 100% plastic box, and with a plastic which seems to be a non-recyclable one? Why make your watches on the complete other side of the word, in a factory perhaps using electricity power from coal, as so many manufactories do in China? And why then use tones of oil to allow these watches to come and be selled here? Why use a quartz movement with a battery that will have to be changed regulary and which will be probably not recycled (as these kind of small batteries are usually not recycled because of customers leasiness)? Dear Makydo, you care about your profit, which makes sense, no problem with that. But please, don't think we are stupids, don't try to greenwach please.

No problem mate. I think for the watch, dial, movement, extra strap, finishing and general look makes it very appealing and other than AliExpress stuff, there isn’t much better about in terms of quality at the price point. Thanks for your honest feedback though mate - much appreciated 👍👍

Good review 👍. It's too big for me, that lug to lug and the usual integrated bracelet lack of adjustment, however it is good they include a rubber strap and I like the dial, so I see why you like it 😁

It is a bit on the large side mate but all in all, for what you’re getting, I really like the watch. That’s not to say it’s going to be for everyone though as very few things are. Thanks for watching my friend 👍👍

This brand maybe sourcing from Knot Japan.. Very similar casing,crown n pushers.$3++ maybe a steal for some.

I think the dial is gorgeous, as is the case and bracelet finishing. I'm not into large watches or "chronograph style" watches, so not for me. A great fashion watch for the big wrist brigade though.

Thanks again Simon. It's a nice looking watch, in fact, very nice. But the movement is very disappointing. For that price I'd expect a proper mecaquartz movement. A 1 tick per second chronograph for that price is crazy. It would be a good enough buy as a pleasant summer watch at $250. Less money on the packaging and put it into a mecaquartz movement would be a good idea.

No problem mate. I don’t think it’s a price thing tbh as the Miyota OS10 is pretty much the same price as the Seiko VK63 & VK64’s of the world. Must of just been a personal choice thing but I know Nadeem (the owner of Makydo) will be eagerly monitoring feedback and stuff so watch this space 👍👍

To be honest it looks like any other Ali express watch the chronograph market is really saturated at the moment even more than the GMT influx we had last year

It’s a beautiful watch without a doubt, but 42mm integrated style watch is just too big for my 7in wrist. Hopefully they put out a 40mm or even smaller. Thanks as always!

@@WatchtheTimeSorry Simon. It may have all the right specs but it just looks cheap and uninspired. A lot of the AliExpress Genta style designs offer the same specs for less money and in many cases look a lot better.

Just can't abide a 1hz second hand on anything. At least ditch the running seconds and use a 2hz mecaqtz. Not a bad looking watch though.
