Problem with Spain is they don't really have winning material songs. Those on Gala Eurovision are good but......not winner potential. Their last good result was Ruth, they should stop using Operacion Triunfo as a way to decide who will represent them and rather send a big name like Pastora was.

Thankyou, Australia was robbed of victory with Sound of Silence. It was proven that the winner with 1944 had broken the rules as it wasn’t a new song which is against Eurovision rules, yet they didn’t disqualify her.

After the performance, she lost her voice and could not speak. At the rehearsal she sang in English to save her voice. Several countries were offended (it was not possible then to sing in a language other than their native language) and did not give points. If it wasn't for this throat action, I assume we could win. Because with all respect, but the Polish performance beat the winners back then. The president of the victorious country herself admitted that Poland should have won, because we deserved more for victory. It's such a short story.
