Agreed. Far better performance. TNT is missing out on the greatest performance ever. El Mocambo is the best. This performance pales in comparison . Still good because Stevie Ray didn't play bad music.

So glad you did more Stevie. Though it is the same song, to really get why SRV is considered by many many to be the greatest, "Texas Flood - Live at El Mocambo" is maybe the best guitar performance by any player ever recorded. Definitely consider checking it out. Or "Life Without You - Live at Capital Theater" if you want a different flavor, also "Lenny" or "Little Wing" both from El Mocambo live are awesome next vids to check. You all have a great chemistry and feel for music - great channel!

That's Stevie's older brother Jimmy Vaughn (The Fabulous Thunderbirds) on the white Strat backing Stevie up - especially when Stevie broke a string and his guitar Tech brought out a backup axe mid solo. If anybody was ever born to play guitar, it was Stevie. And he put the blues in the spotlight for a new generation. RIP SRV.

The Greatest of all time! "Life without you" is another classic. Check out Jeff Healey to. He was blind, and can play like nobody's business. Check out Jeff's song "See the light" Stevie Ray discovered Jeff. And they played together on the other hit by Stevie "Little Sister" that was epic.
@minigirl6379

Stevie's version of Look at Little Sister , should be reacted to first. Stevie Ray and Reese tear it up. Then, when Stevie Ray brings in Jeff Healey, in the other performance, it's about Stevie allowing Jeff to shine. Both versions are great, and both versions deserve a reaction from TNT. 💯💣💥🥳

SRV almost single handed brought the Blues back into the mainstream. He always respected those who preceded him. One time BB King was scheduled to open for Stevie and Double Trouble which he didn't know before hand. He immediately told them BB would not be opening for him because he had such respect for him and many others who came before him. He actually started some kind of foundation to help older or less recognized blues musicians to give them a bigger spotlight and for them to get paid what they were worth. SRV was even a better man than his guitar playing and he was my favorite performer ever. I suggest Life Without You written for his friend Charley Wirz who died of a heart attack and helped him design his guitars. please take the one from the Capitol theater in Passaic. It's a beautiful vocal, solo and message. You won't be disappointed.

_"Riviera Paradise"_ for something more jazzy and chill. "Rude Mood" for something faster. "Tin Pan Alley" w/ Johnny Copeland, for a slow-burning blues staple. Another great blues band, but in their prime and touring today, is the Tedeschi Trucks Band. Susan Tedeschi has a delicious, whiskey-and-honey, blues voice -- and plays a mean guitar. Her husband, Derek Trucks, pretty much grew up playing guitar for The Allman Brothers Band.

That was excellent, y’all. You’re right: it is dying out, there is a history lesson there, and Stevie is a master who can show how it should be played. That was his brother Jimmie, who is still playing today with ZZ TOP, Eric Clapton, etc. on stage with him on rhythm guitar, and Albert Collins, the “Master of the Telecaster”, who introduced him. Thank you for this. There is a video in existence of Stevie and Jimmie playing on the same guitar, which I was blessed to see in person. I also twice saw him play with B.B. King. Gospel, Rythom and Blues sprang R&Roll. It has developed beyond that, over the years and in the 80's we saw it mutate further. Then the 90's, 2000nds, till today. Still stretching the boundaries. We have lost touch with the founding sounds but still enjoy listening to the oldies, if one allows themselves to take the time and journey through the catalogue of music and artists of yesteryear. We are so fortunate to have these recordings to reflect on. Great reaction. Keep up the good work. Take care.

The first time near Austin, Texas at the Farm Aid Concert, July 4, 1986 and his final concert at Alpine Valley Music Theater near Lake Geneva, Wisconsin on August 26, 1990. The line ups at both concerts were great... John Mellencamp, Tom Petty, Steppenwolf, Joe Walsh, Neil Young (to name just a few at Farm Aid) and Eric Clapton, Robert Cray and Buddy Guy in Wisconsin... Despite all those great great bands and musicians...I went to see SRV...

All the boys in the band are duded up for this event; first time seeing them in their best clothes!
