Honestly, what impresses me the most about Ruka and Asa’s rapping skills is the fact that Korean isn’t even their first language; they’re both Japanese. So the fact that they can both rap in a second language so clearly and articulately is just amazing.

FYI, Asa used to perform in the musical theatre while she was in her school, so she can sing as a vocalist really well. When she entered to be a trainee a YG, due to liking of hip-hop style and dancing, she chose to train mainly on how to rap, and she can do it really well. Such a talent clear toned rapper.

Asa's got so much potential, i know she trained primarily in rap, but i do hope YG after being surprised by her singing (then seeing her as all rounder) thinks to give her some extra training to her hone her vocals (just like they are training Chiquita to rap). It would be a sorely missed opportunity if they don't down the line..she'd be a triple threat.

Yeah, Ahyeon was YGs number 1 pick for Babymonster. She placed first and was described as a perfect fit for center position by Leejung (their dance instructor) and multiple YG artists in the documentary all said things along the lines of "theres no explanation needed for Ahyeon (placing first)" and that says a lot with all the other members being equally as talented and outstanding in all areas. It's why we all hope/ believe the hiatus truely is just that and YG intends to place her back in the group even though he has a history of doing the exact opposite in similar scenarios with other groups. I still don't trust YG and will only fully believe she will be back when it actually happens but my fingers are crossed. I don't think he will throw away a trainee/idol as popular and highly talented as Ahyeon over health issues (hopefully it is that and not just an excuse for something else) after having her at the top of the list the whole time.

She had Covid too. I remember her crying because her voice was not coming out before that performance :( As someone who lost his voice too due to the same thing, it’s scary too. Like opening your mouth and no sound coming out. Picking up a call and then hanging up to text. I had such bad anxiety for a week… I cannot imagine that in an idol/singing competition. Oo

- Pharita really put so much tenderness into her love song and the way she projects her voice filling the room?? excuse me?? - Rora WRECKED me - I love 'Someone you loved so, so much' and her voice breaking while singing some of the words was actually devastating - I just LOVE Asa as a rapper, she's a freaking badass, she has my entire heart but her vocals really surprised me here! - Chiquita is my bias. Love her. Just love her. That angelic voice, the facial expressions, the dancing - everything about her AT THE AGE OF 14 - Ruka made me listen to 'Astronaut in the ocean' for WEEKS after her performance she's the oldest and she's DRIPPING with confience - Haram has one of strongest and deepest vocals out of all of them and her voice is so unique, you just recognize it instantly - Ahyeon has an INSANE type of energy when she sings, she's also a great rapper, she's a really good dancer so yep, she's an ace

I watched Ahyeon’s performance multiple times and whenever I do or when I look at her other performances my heart starts to race like crazy and I just stare at her in admiration. Yeah Ahyeon and Asa are the two aces of the group -- legit can do everything. The difference between em is which they're better at, Ahyeon's vocals are like S-tier while her rap is B-tier, Asa's rap is S-tier while vocals are A or B (getting better). But during the Last Evaluation series where these performances were from, it was clear that the company viewed Ahyeon as the one to build around. The ace, the center, the one who's proficient in everything (including language)

Asa is pronounced like Hwasa minus the "hw".. Asa did write the Korean rap part of her song. I have a feeling she'll have a hand in writing for the group or atleast she'll write her own raps. Chiquita was nervous for her solo cause she just got over covid a few days before and as a result she struggled to hit notes which is what made her nervous. But she killed it!! Haram is my bias her vocals are insane.. this group is gonna be a problem when its all 7 together again. Hope Ahyeon gets well so she can return soon.

It’s just going to be insane when Ahyeon comes back. Everybody says she’s the ace but honestly the group is full of all rounders. But Ahyeon is a natural born center. They’re already amazing together but we won’t see their full power until Ahyeon returns.

The girls called Asa - Ace-sa because she's good at Everything. Batter up was a solid debut not the best because we are missing Ahyeon. OT7 They are working hard on the follow-up single. Thank you for seeing their talents!!!
