What a WONDERFUL lady like Sheryl and I learn a lot from seeing how she manages her life so JOLLY and POSITIVELY!!!!!

Her speech is great. My mother speaks in an endless stream but only a few words make sense and they are simple linking words. It's a long time since she spoke in a normal way for her. For years she called a handbag or cupboard or purse a box. Anything which could contain something was a box. Her nouns disappeared first together with her full name, address and date of birth. She remembered appointments and changes to my father's teaching schedule, if a pupil changed day or time she was the one who remembered, but at the same time she was picking up cat poo in her hands and going in to the music room to show it to my dad .... while he was teaching. It's been a long, painful journey.

Amazing about your riding the roller coaster and not being afraid. My husband went from being able to climb 150 feet in the air to not being able to climb a ladder.

I have ADHD and showers take up too many of my “spoons” for the day! Daddy has never showered much. Now we do a lot of disposable washcloth “baths”. He gets excited “WOW I didn’t know these were so versatile!” I wipe my armpits after helping him wipe his 😂. I try to make it fun. I turn around and say “ok now scrub your balls” (sorry if too much information but I think it’s helpful) and he does it I think 😂 when I convince him to shower I place my hands on his hands on his head and guide his fingers as to remind him how to wash his hair. He will get so happy! “We’re going now!” And stamp his feet like a kid. I’m sure to give him privacy so I just kinda poke my head in for reminders. I remove all items from the shower and put his shampoo and soap and conditioner in little bowls and help him pour it in his hands or on the wash pouf. It’s been some getting used to but it’s working out so far.

The stuff we learn first physically is stuff that stays with us!

Well she speaks really well, compared to my girlfriend who can’t speak at all who is diagnosed in 2018. And now she’s in Assissted Living and can’t speak except to say one or two words at a time. So this lady here is far better than my girlfriend is right now. I don’t know how much worse this gets, but it’s so much worse than it was a year ago. A year ago she was just missing words. No she can hardly walk but she still knows who I am. I just have to ask her name and have her look at me. She’s into to sweets. And she still only weighs 100 pounds. My question is, what does the future hold. Or get worse.?

This was happening with my husband - he lost so many jobs it was terrible. We are having trouble getting a diagnosis but it does sound like this unfortunately.

Interesting how she recognizes the deficiencies. How many people can do that?

what are the subtle symptoms ? I may have this ! It is possible I could have had PPA for 15 years. I've had speech difficulties close to 18 years, But I see more issues cropping up with my speech now.

My husband is now afraid of dogs and can’t speak a word. Just a complicated disease.

My husband might have dementia, but refuses to be tested. His personality is changing, though. He’s becoming a dirty old man. He’s already made advances to another woman. He can’t perform with me, but thinks he can with someone else. He’s very “Christian,” and says polygamy is in the Bible, so… I’m watching your videos in order to find ways to help. Otherwise, divorce is on the horizon.
