It was 1996 we were in Jr. high, and his name was Braden. He died during a joy ride with my friends. Everyone in the car was affected, the driver that was charged with his death and the theft of the car, one girl had numerous lacerations, another girl needed steel poles in both her legs (she grew 2 inches), but he was dead. A few years later a different friend was involved in a similar car accident w/ her little brother while we were in high school. She left with a broken arm, lacerations throughout her body, and without her brother. I say all that to say we all think it’s not going to happen to us. Gone are the days of living care free. I’m 41 and will follow my child everywhere! Oh you’re 36 and have a wife and kids (my grandchildren) best believe I’m psycho and will be in the grocery parking lot waiting for you to be done meal prep shopping. God gave us all the time!

She said they were good kids that made 1 bad decision??? Um that escalated quickly, it was MANY bad decisions: sneaking out at night, drinking underaged, driving intoxicated, not wearing a seatbelt, didn't call 911 until someone's mom called. What is going on here?
@judymcgowan288112 күн бұрын
You just listed what was going on. She was a teenager . She made a decision . Decided to drink. And drive. Drinking causes anyone to make bad decisions. This one caused her brothers death. She will never forget this as long as she lives. She panicked called her friends mother. She called 911 ( the friends mother ) she was drunk not thinking clearly. There that is what is going on !!! A lot of people learned a lesson that night!!! This is what happens when you drink and drive !!😢😢 .period

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have eternal life. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved. If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Not just for the young man who lost his life, but for the young lady that will spend the rest of her life knowing she killed her little brother but through all that pain and destruction. This is just a sad sad story all across the board. Kids don't think we ALL know that. I do think that the sentencing was too light. It's needs to be clear to kids that consequences are harsh for bad choices. I get that some will say "oh she will regret this forever and have to live with it" and that is true BUT consequences still need to be harsh due to that result of bad choices.
