Oh dear, When I broke 4 ribs I missed 4 wks. of school, had a hospital bed in the living room and prayed not to cough or sneeze, fortunately I didn’t. Thank the good Lord it wasn’t a worse accident. I feel your pain, Henson.🥰🤠💕

As someone who has broken my pelvis, dislocated my hips, shoulders, elbows, vertebrae and most of my joints multiple times (connective tissue disorder +Horses+soccer) the one that hurts most is broken and bruised ribs. Everything hurts.. Cough, sneeze, eat you name it. Sending healing energy your way. Glad you have a strong melon and wife. 😂😁

I broke numerous ribs, put a 1" hole in my lung , and broke my wrist. I didn't ride for almost 6 weeks, doctor told me 3 months no horses. Don't get on too quick that bone on bone grinding isn't much fun.

Ain't no problem when you have a wreck. It's what you land on that matters. Looks like a bit of road rash and some broken ribs. At least you landed in the mud versus a rock pile. The outcome could have been more serious. Rest up and let your body heal itself. Enjoy your videos. To me they are so relaxing and helpful at decompression after a crazy day. Be safe.

Henson. Hope U recover fast with those ribs.4 years ago one of my horses though me ..Had 8 broken ribs and a shoulder.The ribs were the worst. Take it slow for a few months…U cant rush ribs.

Still working on fixing a pulled groin muscle should be ok some day im 82 bound to get better soon Rule number one if your around horses long enough you will get hirt followed by rule number 2 your right.

Ride enough your gonna have wrecks.... comes with the job. Lost count of how many I have had, broke, tore, dislocated, cut, scraped, lolol... When you go to a doctor and they give you that sheet with the picture of a person on it and say, mark anything area that you have injured... Cowboys have to ask for two pictures so we can mark down on the history of our rides...

New subscriber here. Enjoy your channel. Henson's story makes me feel better about my wreck a few years ago when I was 61. I went on a trail riding weekend with 9 other riders and a 71 y.o. horse woman who is a very experienced trainer/guide. I rode one of her horses. We went to Caprock Canyon State Park. She took us off the park trails and followed the deer trails down into the creek bed. She and her horse got stuck in quicksand up to its chest then all of a sudden my horse started to sink. She was able to roll off onto solid ground. I wasn't that lucky. I had kicked my feet out of the stirrups fixing to jump when he decided to rear up and power his way up the steep creek bank. I went flying way up in the air and landed on hard rock about 10 feet away. YEE! HAW!! The two horses were able to get out of the quicksand unscathed. My friends caught my horse. I didn't want to be a sissy and spoil their fun so I got back on and we rode another two hours. The rest of the weekend I just rode the recliner at the bunkhouse. The guide kept telling me that I needed to toughen up and keep riding saying ,"You know if you're looking for sympathy, you can find it In the dictionary between shit and syphilis!" Pretty funny, but it sure hurt to laugh. When we got back home three days later, I went to the doctor and Xrays showed I had seven cracked ribs!! I couldn't ride or really do much of anything for four weeks. Fortunately, I was a retired teacher so didn't have to work. Unfortunately, I am an old widow woman so never did find any sympathy....except in the dictionary! Lol....so Henson, you are a very lucky man because Danielle is a true cowboy's sweetheart. She could've just handed you a big heavy Webster's and said look under S! Y'all have a beautiful ranch and thank you for sharing it with us.

Have you figured it out? You need to make part of the training routine for the horses, learning to “jump” ditches like a thoroughbred. Lol. Get well. I know someone who had a car wreck and they fortunately walked away with 8 staples in their head, hole in their lung and three broken thoracic vertebrae.

Whatever you do, never sneeze cause you will be in a lot of pain. Take it from a man that knows. Carry a pillow to hold your ribs from expanding while sneezing.
