It definitley needs to be like 20 an hr and 1000 game day. They literally go thru the most crazy audtion process. They expext u to miss you college graduation ( one of the girls in training camp graduated from ucla and missed the ceremony for practice). You literally have to uphold whatever crazy expensive color they put in your hair. Extensions all that. Like cmon

The NFL is a registered non-profit, that was also getting paid to fly the American flag before games. And yet, they did not even pay their iconic cheerleaders a respectable wage. Shame.

They need to pay these girls like the athletes they are!, they have to be beautiful, they have to look the right way, they have to eat right, be respectful, go wherever their asked....and all just for the “ prestige!! The mascot makes five times the amount and has no appearances. Disgusting what the players make and what the cheerleaders make. I am so glad that the girls are making more than what they were but when you compare it to what the players make it is almost insulting! They deserve way more than what the pay increase came to! They work just as hard making the squad and performing at games! It’s insane that most of the girls have full time jobs or are in school full time on top of being on the squad! And although I do like them both I am curious to know how much Kelly and Judy make in their positions!

Yes the pay sucks for them I’m glad it’s better now, but the DCC are also accommodating, practices at 7pm to 10pm or 11pm. DCC girls don’t pay for their hair, the have sponsors that give them extensions as well as lashes. Some of the girls have personal sponsors for makeup that they use. The games and travel shows have artists that they use. Also some girls learned how to do their hair and makeup from the artists to save time or do it at home when off. Other teams might make the girls pay for salons but these girls don’t. A lot of them still finish school and have other full time jobs. The DCC also keeps meals and snacks for the girls because food makes energy and they need that. When injured the girls still get paid for showing up and helping the team.

I agree that cheerleaders should be better compensated for their services but if it was only about team pay why have they done it for so long for so little? Exposure possibly resulting in career opportunities, fame, acting career, trophy wife marriage to a very rich man, etc.? I wish them all the realization of their dreams. The female soccer team was not about there standard pay, that was about the reduced bonus pay they got after an international tournament. The reson they got less bonus pay from that is becouse of there own choices. That female soccer team choice a higher safe standard pay with a lesser bonus pay rather then a lower standard pay with a higher bonus pay. They hade a choice on what they wanted to have and now when they placed very high they might have won not sure what international event it was but now they want the higher bonus just becouse they choice wrong. In most if not all physical/enduranced based sports where men an woman compete by themselfs regardless if ppl like it or not men will always be paid higher purely based on performance. There are ofc some factors like sport popularity and sponsorship. But there is a reson players like Ronaldo, Messi and ibrahimovic were paid obsurd amouth of cash. As far as i know i dont actully think females are excluded by most sport rules from male teams. They are just never considered by scouts becouse the reality is that they cant hold there own against the men they are compeating against for that spot.

While we can all agree the pay should be higher, some of you need to ask yourselves what is the REAL reason that 1000's of women line up EVERY single year, begging and crying to get on the squad and most of whom continue to come back KNOWING full well what the pay is? If these women were being paid $3 a game they would line up from here to NY just to "get in".

When it comes to the soccer teams, the women requesting the same pay as men is absurd. The men's team sells a ton more tickets and merchandise than the women's team. Most sports organizations pay athletes based on how much money the athletes can make for the organization. If women bring in half the revenue of men, they should get half the pay. That's just business.

They get like 10 seconds of air time during a game? how much more do they want? People don't go to NFL Games to watch the cheerleaders, or buy their merch.

Being an NFL cheerleader is not supposed to be a full time job, so I'm not sure why they had to go through this, because they are made aware of that. I'm curious to see what the cheerleaders contracts say, the one they're required to sign when they're accepted into training camp. Kelly said Judy make it VERY clear to the girls that they are encouraged to have jobs while cheering for them. If it was equivalent to be paid for a 9-5 job, then this wouldn't be an issue--but it's not. Womens sports don't make as much, because fans don't pay the price of admission like they do for mens sports. You just don't see as many packed stadium seats. UFC might be an exception. That's not to criticize or rag on the female athletes. I'm all for womens sports. I guess I just don't see how a certain gender in a sport--who doesn't bring as much in for admission revenue--should get paid as much as their counter gender. While NFL cheerleaders yes, do require a great deal of stamina and energy to do what they do, it is not a requirement for a game event. The game itself still goes on without them. Yes, I do believe they should be compensation for the out of town and overseas events they do. During those times, they are representing the organization as a whole seeing as the players don't do the same events. And they are. Kelly and Judy have been doing this for years, they probably have something stated in the contract regarding pay. I know this isn't a popular opinion and that's fine. All the progressive femenazis can fire back all they want. Until NFL cheerleaders are given a more vital role that make them essential to the game, they will never make as much as what they're asking for. If the game and the players can happen and fully function without you, chances are you won't get equal pay.
