CPKC 357 meets 260 with ex UP SD90s and 253 at the ballpark Davenport March 26, 2024

CPKC 357 led by two BNSF units arrived south yard limits Nahant and met 260 with two ex-UP SD90s marked for CP. 260 also had an SD70 ACU for a mid-train DPU. A little later 253 is seen going by the ballpark in Davenport. Thanks for watching comment like and subscribe.

The ACUs are rebuilt from retired SD90MACs, they are slightly longer in length compared to a standard SD70ACe

I’m guessing those former Union Pacific SD90MACs are getting scrapped and/or used as parts sources for Canadian Pacific Kansas City SD70ACUs. Btw, the ex Amtrak P40s that were sent to Wabtec in Albia Iowa in 2022 and 2023 are being rebuilt and repainted in Keewatin Railway colors.
