As someone who grew up in care on a full care order and abandoned by my neglectful mother who emigrated to Australia and subsequently left me with zero support and so homeless, you have described my experience of Manchester council perfectly. I’m 33 now, I’m having to live on my mates floor, i have battled with homelessness and ptsd from a serious assault when i was 18 and had just left care. I’ve never been to prison, never once begged, I’ve tried my absolute best to keep myself alive. I used to pitch in chorlton meadows where no one could see me. And in all that time not once have I ever received compassion or help from them. For years i was told i had no local connection to my own area. It’s not my fault my mother emigrated and social services destroyed my family unit?? It absolutely sickens me. 😡

@@SabracadabrO strange I was in Manchester in the mid 1975 to 1980s and although female students at the Uni were given Freshers week instructions as to where not to go alone, using public transport was comparatively safe and I never saw a "Travel Safe Officer". However by 1988 I was traveling though Manchester in a car with the doors locked, praying that I would not have to pull up at a stop light, (and ex HMF / ex police so I don't scare easily) and I wouldn't have used public transport or even had gone out after dark by then.

I don't agree with what Nick said about bad parents to a degree. I was abandoned by my mother when I was eight years old to live with my Dad who was an intravenous amphetamine user. He then left me with my terminally ill grandfather, who by the grace of God, managed to cling to life for SIX years, keeping me safe and warm but by no means privileged until I'd completed my A levels. I married and had children young and had to sacrifice my career as a Midwife as my youngest girl has Dravet Syndrome. But my eldest is now 29, has a BSc and MSc and is a Senior Consultant to the Nuclear Industry with top security clearance. I broke the cycle. Despite having my own progressive health issues and autism. I think some people just have children for the wrong reasons. We all know what those reasons are. Sadly, it paints us all with the same brush.

Lefties are actually just "wanna" be socialist christians without the jesus.. Todays christians are basically on the "fascist" side.. they are more like fakers.. they side with free market jesus, where jesus prefers the rich and their corporations, and he loves to exploit brown people for cheap labor..While lefties in general. I don't believe they could achieve socialism.; only people can achieve it, are the old world true christiands/ jewish people, when they lived their socialist lifestyles of the past. All religions in general are very socialist.. Even the bible. The bible never said to worship rich white people.. or cry about the disfranchised or to vote in a political power.. or to use "liberal" technonlogy. IT was to be lived more "poorly" among each other and share with each other, caring of the poor sick, elderly.. etc..

Actually its just from repeat injection into the same vein in the same areas as that makes the walls of the vein collapse. Generally with legs its from injecting in the groin into the femoral vein which's particularly dangerous as it's situated right next to the femoral artery. And from abcesses from missing the vein etc that can lead to a gangreneous limb so yea that's true.

@ozbo1648 I think, even without an assessment in person for PIP, you should get an allowance. If you have an official diagnosis for something, like autism, then why put you through an ordeal? Automatically, they should give you something. They won't even give PIP, straight away, if you voluntarily gave up ESA and DLA, in the past. They should have an allowance without making someone look for jobs and for the homeless too. Otherwise, the DWP will continue to tell people to pay back what they accidentally 'overpaid' them in housing benefits. Horrendous, that the benefits agencies are getting money from the unwaged.
