In this video I will show how to make router lift attachment for router table. Lift made with comfortable height regulation from side without extra tools for fast and easy use.

Ingenious. All I could think of at the end was "a child could do it". But somebody had to come up with the idea to share with the children. You are that guy. My next project as soon as I finish the build of my router table, which is about three hours from completion. THANKS!!!

I always watch your videos in amazement and am thrilled to see what you come up with. I am quasi "workshop novice", just starting to learn about wood and thanks to you and your excellent videos and tutorials I will probably be able to build myself piece by piece really good tools. I love builds like these...then I look at the current wood prices and realize that buying a pre-built metal variant is probably cheaper right now.....

Good morning, I am following your channel. Your projects are awesome. Well done. I am trying to do this project of the router lifter. I do have a problem with cutting the inner part named 8. The png photos you posted on the Google drive are helpful except the photo 8. I will appreciate it if you can post the skp. File in order to manage to make the plan out of the perspective. Can you help me understand how to connect KFL08 bearing, the gear and the threaded rod used to raise and lower the router? Does the rod just sit in the bearing with the gear set screws tightened around the rod?

Bearings and gears has tightening screws, you just need set in place and tighten them

No you need program as fusion360, to make toolpath for cnc machines

@@CraftyDude Thankyou so much for your speedy reply. i looked at the description - could't see the threaded drive shaft for lifting - only the stainless steel guide rods

Thats 8 mm diameter threaded shaft, not cnc, nothing special, usually you can find it in every materials shop as 1meter lenght or 50cm, I used that shaft just couse it have small thread and allows to lift slower and more accurate, and they is very cheap

With some changes it’s possible. I used this router lift in my router table project, you can check it in my channel

What keeps the router from dropping? Are the gears locked after raising the router?

Threaded rod, as it stays in place and won’t spinning I didn’t make extra lock

@@CraftyDude I've found dust collection in the fence alone is not sufficient, so I will be experimenting with methods of dust collection below the table as well. I am looking forward to watching your project progress.

Yes its interesting for me too, makita air cooling system blows air straight from bottom part and vacuum cleaner in fence have to make strong air channel, which dont let dust move down, but i will make extra collector for vacum cleaner if its will be needed🙂
