16:36 That is actually insane, of all the cars, makes and models, you literally NAILED my mindset when I was 19. I had a 2004 Mustang V6 (Charcoal gray) that I put a bunch of money, time and effort into and right before pulling the trigger on the supercharger, I realized that I could sell the V6, and use that same money to get a V8. I ended up in a 2000 GT (Atlantic blue). The sound ALONE was more than enough to make me realize that I had made the right call. My insurance went up 30$.

even for sheer driveability, going with a nice set of wheels, good tires, and a high quality set of springs and shocks, it improves the car a LOT. simple exhaust mods, like to change the tone or sound, is great as well (READ: NOT MUFFLER DELETE, IT SOUNDS LIKE CRAP 100% OF THE TIME).

Brakes too! A quality brake setup is worth every penny. People overlook brakes so often and in my opinion it’s one of the best mods you can make. Couldn’t agree more about the muffler/cat/resonator deletes! I just shake my head every time I hear some car that’s had the exhaust hacked off and is setting off car alarms it’s so loud.

@Craig Lieberman Hi Craig. Man hearing you talk about your firebirds. Makes we wish I was able to have gotten my hands on one. I came close to owning a 1968 Firebird. Dark green, convertible, AC, engine wasn't original it had a basic 327 from a 1967 Corvette. Wasn't show quality or a rust bucket either, a good driver.

You know Craig you actually remind me of my dad, he bought a 6th gen 2SS convertible Camaro and within a few days we had the ECU cracked and a 500 shot fitted to it. We did a pull with it one night and we actually did a pull with a catfish Camaro and ended up hitting about 200 when we let off. Gotta say hitting that speed, was a unique experience (also funny I'm trying to remake your E46 M3 in Forza; think I've seen the real thing once too)

I had an 81 I-Mark for a few years, and countless Chevy LUVs. I loved them all. The I-Mark was gutless but it handled and cornered very well and was comfortable for its size. The LUVs were super easy to work on, there' s nothing I haven't done with a LUV truck, The 4x4s were badass little machines and could go just about anywhere with a cheapo lift.

CL is not "flexing", he's just showing us that he is just like the rest of us. I've had my share of American and japanese cars similar to yours. 60's mustangs/shelbys/, several Datsun 510, Honda Civic/accords/R34GTR/BMWs to name a few. Have yet to step into supercar territory.

I've owned several cars across the years from Indiana, Alberta, and Vancouver. Not going to worry about specs unless people ask. 1. 1984 Jaguar XJS (got rid of after 2 weeks) 2. 1994 Nissan Pathfinder (rolled) 3. 1989 Acura Integra (stolen) 4. 1990 Peugeot 405 (sold) 5. 1986 Peugeot 505 Dangel (still own) 6. 2000 Toyota Chaser (sold) 7. 1999 Nissan Stagea (sold) 8. 2003 Renault Clio RS (sold) 9. 2004 Renault Megane RS (sold) 10. 1984 Pontiac Firebird (broke down, sold) 11. 2018 Ford Expedition (wife's, newest car owned, sold) 12. Was going to be a 2006 FPV Super Pursuit, was waiting for the 15 year rule and then bad things happened and I moved back to the US. Edit: In regards to newer cars being great, I disagree. I am not a fan of newer cars. So much plastic. Even my Renaults, which I loved to death....had a lot of plastic. I had wanted and tried several times to get a Peugeot 406 coupe after having driven one numerous times that was in Australia. Never succeeded. And right now, I don't have the money. I'll stick with my 86 Pug.

Thank you Craig for your sharing. I've been a car enthusiast since I was 5 years old, and finally I had enough money to buy my first car 25 years later. I own a 2011 Nissan March (or Micra in some regions). A reliable daily drive and interstate drive every weekend, economical, but of course the small 1.2L three cylinder produces small amount of power. I thought a lot about turbocharging it, but as you explained there's no point to throw a lot of money on a crummy car. On a second thought it also would've made my car unreliable. So instead of turbocharging, I'll plan on the wheels & springs for better fitment, good rubbers, and braided brake lines for better braking performance.

Short story His Nissans Z and Trucks never failed , His Supras were beast he looked for the middle ground. He tried BMWs and Mercedes they sucked unreliable and he went back to the Japanese cars that with just a tune and a quick stylish ques your done. Mustangs always blowing heads yeah man another big lesson learned yes it was fun but it was not reliable until you really did it right. The lambo as well. My Two cents I stick with CRXS, NSXs, Porches 911s and Supras okay I am done Oh and a daily TSX and TLX S Done.

Thank God he mentioned these people who remove the exhaust, I was figuring that would have been on the rice modification video he did, had one of these guys literally catch me while I was going to a quickie Mart just to get some snack foods and a drink cuz it was hot out and as I'm getting out of my car you see this guy giving me the dead stare revving his hunk of junk rice box, I ignored him at first, got my stuff and proceeded to exit the store and he continued to do it like he wanted a piece of it, well ok then..... needless to say I gave him a piece of it after I showed him what a real car sounds like revving mine and then I smoked him on a straight away after we both pulled out of the parking lot and I dropped my car in sport mode..... Ironically that's another thing these young people have no idea about, that the E46 has a sport mode that is very beneficial, These people are just as bad as the rest of the ricers, a fart Cannon does not make it sound good, let alone restricts the cars air flow and everything else just like Craig said 🤦 same reason I say I can't believe the Honda scene didn't make the list on that video because most majority of the people that do that exhaust crap are the people driving the old Hondas and Toyotas.... I'm guessing the fast and the furious sound inspired them 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦 I also have a fun fact..... you want to know how you can spot a ricer hipster? Well just ask them what their dream car is.... 🤣🤣🤣 I'm dead serious, It's always a 350Z or some type of Subaru BRZ or something 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦

By the time I'm his age (I'm 34) I'll probably end up owning more than him. I've owned 16 cars since I bought my first car at 16. I love vehicles, I love working on them. I just wish I could do it more often.
