My mother was in terms of videogames 20 or so years ago when I was a kid, a beast. I remember how much she helped me with Spyro The Dragon on PS1. Finding all sorts of secrets like the below section of Metalhead or how she told me to chase after the red and green superspeed thieves to get to their respective hiding places in Tree Tops. While i was better at the game, she was a mastermind instead. Ironically, what held us up was level Haunted Towers. Until literally out of nowhere, when I grew older, the solution appeared right in front of me lol.

The soldier does have a cosmetic, a helmet that does have a rocket in it. i remember the description "I would love to see you doing that again, son.

N. Gin was always my favorite villain in this series...anyone who can survive with half a missle in his head is a boss, and his robot voice always struck me as too cool for school. Plus he has a german accent

While N.Sane's version sounds more alive and goofy, the original sounds more cold and robotic which fits nicely with N.Gin's whole theme

Josh Mancell had a fantastic understanding of how to make the music in these games sound somewhat diegetic. Sewer or Later is one of my favourite examples of this, the percussion really sounds like the pipes of the sewers you're exploring are being used as instruments. Also, people weren't as afraid to have some actual menace to their villains unlike nowadays, particularly for children's content it seems. On top of the fact that Josh Mancell was simply a legend of music making and Vicarious Visions likely didn't have anyone nearly as good on their team.

Now that I think about it this is the only boss in the whole game that doesn't defeat himself. Ripper Roo blows himself up Komodo Brothers get dizzy Tiny because of awful tunnel vision. Cortex because he just runs away and doesn't attack you at all

Been playing crash bandicoot almost whole life... This song really came into its zone for me when in our summer I went to Mauritius and faced the longer starry nights during the so called winter. Kind of like the background here.

Poly_G I agree, adding to the fact that this was an early ps1 game. Crash 3 improved on that by having 30,000 frames of animation. It really pushed the limits at the time as well. They even added a bazooka lol

@thedraken5 Well, Crash has things in common with the ND games. Wumpa, the characters (most designs keep the important aspects of the characters, such as Crash's fur, shoes and pants, Aku's colors, Uka's menacing complexion), the spin, crates. Even some mutants are likely mutated from older enemies. TwinSanity's rats became Ratcicles (ice Titans), the old turtles became Magmadons, the Scorporilla was a fusion of the scorpion from WOC and the monkey from Crash 1. There's still a lot in common.

Frankly, I found Cortex harder than Brio and Gin in 1 & 3. Of course Cortex is easy in 2, but N. Gin isn't really hard if you're accustomed to these types of boss fights (I play Kirby too much lol)

My Crash Bandicoot 3 remake: It seems the same but there are differences to counter my Crash 2 N-Gin music remake. After C3 0:54-1:00 is C3 0:54-1:00 again (but based on one of the remakes and without the bell ring). Then is back to the original continuing from C3 1:00. Then after 1:20 of the original, then is 1:20-1:26 based on one of the remixes, then back to the original continuing from 1:20, keep going until you reach 1:46. Then loop it, then after the loop, the beginning parts fade.

Oh cripes this boss. Got some bad memories of this as a kid, even now I still think he's way harder than the final boss. Still had a blast fighting him though.
