@@FlagadossSupreme Nah, more of just a wide built corridor with tons of platforming and wumpa to collect on the way with a wall of fire behind you moving at a fair pace so you can’t cheat and collect all the wumpa on the way, if you miss it you miss it, at the end it would tally each teams wumpa, sorta like a race but with traditional crash platforming, think more Rayman M

I think if they took a more mini game approach like this, there would be more replayability, but alas I think this is all it's going to be unfortunately

Not talked about much? I’ve been hearing about crash bash non stop ever since ctrumble got shown, and how people would rather have a bash remake than this.

they should add the Crash Bash minigames to a decathlon or cup mode in this game. cups having five rounds due to it not being a racetrack. other than that I'm sure this game could turn out okay, but it needs "Polar Push" "Pogo-Panic" and the other minigames for a 4-player cup mode, in addition to the primary 5+ multiplayer mode.

Recently, people are treating this game better now that they explained how it actually works and how they really added love to it. However, live service games are a crapshoot, this game needs to ditch the live service elements and go back to a model where you buy it, it's yours, and you can make your own servers if support gets plugged.

Considering how Acti handled On The Run, I'm keeping expectations for this one real low...

Yeah, well, this is an old-school type of game. Old-school games like that would be beaten occasionally, then pushed aside for only playing with groups of friends at home. Online isn't the same as old-school couch gaming. But you're right. It should be $20. I'd never pay even $40 for it.

@@jaysonovo4778 There is nothing "old school" about this. In fact, it's a typical modern game with all the sins of modern video game design. Live service, online only (yet), battle passes, no campaign/story mode and grindy/repetitive gameplay loop. But what is really going to send this to the grave is that it's not f2p and it's not on more platforms like the PC, Gamepass and Switch. Xbox players will be back to Halo after a week of the release of this mess so we will see if the Playstation userbase can keep this game breathing.

Hope this ages terribly. They said they will to support this game well beyond its launch. Of course there’s going to be a mainline game coming. They did the same thing with CTR Nitro Fueled between Crash NST and Crash 4. Crash 4 isn’t even 3 yo. It’s a bit early to ask for Crash 5.

​@@SoulofStalker I also hope the post ages terribly if only because I don't want to see another era where the old Mascot characters aren't trusted to sell franchises like the PS3 era. But let's be honest: CTR:NF was hype and would still be alive today if support for the game didn't just...stop. This game doesn't really have the same thrust behind it and it isn't F2P like similar games in the genre such as Pokémon Unite. It's fighting a much tougher battle. Final Fantasy 16 and Raincode come out in the same month and my money isn't infinite so I won't be getting this right away even as a Crash fan since I was a toddler.

@@ItsCassius I mostly agree with you but wouldn’t compare the game to something like FF or Rain Code. Imo those are games you’d probably play if you want an engaging single player experience and CT Rumble is for fun fast multiplayer. They’re not exactly competition but of course they’re all competing for more sales

@@Maxx-Oblivion Oh I'm not comparing them as video games I'm just saying that the amount of money I have is sadly not infinite and Rumble just isn't very appealing as a paid-upfront online-only experience with little traction. Even a game as stellar in popularity as Overwatch shifted to the F2P format and most games of its kind (Paladins, Pokémon Unite, League, Omega Strikers) are F2P from the jump. At least with Racing there was oodles of single player content to justify its still relatively cheap price, but with this you really have to pray that others will buy in too, and keep the servers active enough, for long enough, for you to feel satisfied with the purchase...and I'm just not really that convinced. I want nothing more to be proven wrong and have a cool online game I can buy later down the line, though.

If you did great by ignoring all the players, they probably don't know how to play it. When i started to think it would be something like that, the blockers (dingodile) changed the whole thing. Still think there's room for it to grow with new characters and maps

To be fair, nobody asked for the Original CTR or Crash Bash PS1 and yet they became successful (Atleast CTR) So why not give Crash Team Rumble that chance too.

It only had 7 types of mini games that repeated with a slightly different color swap. I'm not a fan. But cheers to you for being excited for this! I wish I was.

Not really, it's a MOBA with platformer gameplay.

This isn't particularly new. For example, Pokemon Unite is a recent title with what looks like the same objectives, just with a level up system attached.

@@wingedassassin9999 Overpriced? So It wasn't overpriced to buy 60$ Crash 4 then? Or to buy Nsane Trilogy or CTR:NF. Besides standard prices for games these days are 60$ to 70$ which 70$ is very VERY overpriced.

More power to those who are actually looking forward to the game, but it's understandable why some folks aren't interested in this. There's a reason why live service games are dying by the dozen, and this happens to be just one of them. While they did announce that they may add offline content in the future, being purely online at launch is kind of a detriment. There's also competition with some other games releasing in the same month such as SF6, Diablo 4, and FF16. I'd argue Diablo 4's price point is worse than Rumble's, but it does have an open beta. Marketing for this game has been poor so far. Some folks here are still trying to figure out what this game really is. I'm assuming this must've been an Activision thing, but they should've made this game have an open beta if they really want people to get a good feel of how the game works before being fully committed and pay full price. The game's longevity is uncertain, even with Microsoft eventually taking over soon. There's not a lot of buzz with the game to garner much hype for it. I personally would've tried the game out if it was either F2P or had an open beta, but alas.

Crash Team Racing is a remake of Naughty Dog's CTR, of course everyone asked for this. The Naughty Dog games and their remakes are the only ones worth playing. Everything else sucks in Crash.

The only thing that would save a Bash project is to COMPLETELY reboot the game to the point to where it’s pretty much somethin’ different but still labeled as Bash. If it were just a remaster of the game in its current form, seein’ as the ONLY widely praised minigames are the ones where you bash other characters heads in with cinderblocks, online for that game would be dead within a year. Anybody that would spend $40 on a remake of a game they haven’t played since they were a kid well over 15 years ago, is most likely gonna regret it. Bash BODY SLAMS into the regret category
