As someone who used to catch Crayfish (or "Crawdads", as so many called them) in southern WV streams as a child, this segment was one that really pushed the nostalgia-buttons. Thank you for featuring these fascinating arthropods, and the hard work of Dr. Williams!

I love visiting specimen rooms. They're like a twisted death-filed cross between grocery store shelves and a reference library. Love them to pieces. Dr. Williams is so cool and seems really kind and her field is so interesting - Animal-based 'ecosystems' themselves are fascinating and understanding what populations are actually present where is soooo important for conservation. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite channels since I found the slow-mo insects. When I get a chance I want to go back and watch the long-form interviews you've done with professors. I am a university student from Argentina, just a year ago I started my Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and the whole world of arthropods is extremely attractive to me. This is my fav episode of all time! I absolutely love crayfish. And I think that Bronwyn (I hope I spelled it correctly) has the very best job in the whole wide world! You can tell that she is very intelligent and does such interesting work. She is an excellent role model. Did you see her beautiful smile when she found what she was looking for? Nice to finally find out about these things, growing up my familys back yard would flood often and it was FULL of these chimney burrows constantly throughout the year, but I would only rarely see these mudbugs out in our yard.

Oh, I really, really love this. I'm a North Carolinian from the Charlotte area, and me and my brothers loved to search for crayfish in the creek behind the house. For several years we didn't find any, but last year and this year I saw a couple. I think they're coming back!!!

I spent hours this summer watching the crayfish in the stream next to my house. They hid in leaf litter underwater, but once you know what to look for you can see the leaves moving in a certain way and you know they're in there

Cool crab, mate! Here where I live there are only 3 crayfish species and 2 of them are from north america. I didn't know that crayfishes could dig that deep. Thanks for sharing!
