Crazy Australian Safari | Deer, Buffalo, Pigs, Goats and POACHERS??? Hunting Australia
I just got back from South East Queensland having the most incredible deer, goat, pig and buffalo Australian Safari with HaveAGo. During this Queensland hunt I came face to face with the most amazing animals flying around in an ATV buggy and having a crazy encounters with some red deer, standing only meters away from me.
While I was up in Queensland I also met with @LiquidAntler which was awesome. He's a great bloke, be sure to check out his stuff and show your support.
It was an amazing hunt, but it wasn't without it's hurdles. While hunting pigs on the property we heard a gun shot that sounded like it was coming from within the property. The issue was that we were the only people hunting on the property. This could only mean one thing, poachers.
To find out what happened during this crazy Queensland Australian Safari tune in.

Looks like a well set up property, offers a bit of everything. As with all hunts, it's not the trophies you come back with, it's the memories they bring.

@@Thehuntsmanshow Not since I left the property in SA, mainly goats foxes and cats. Roos were also in plague so the owner had a property licence to cull bucks but that was mainly a necessity and not really what I would call hunting. I grew up pig shooting with my dad on properties out of Brewarrina and Nyngan. First rifle I fired was dad's Winchester 3030, almost broke my shoulder but I was stoked. Favourite rifle was my BSA 243 until it was stolen 10 years ago. Also my old Remington .22 hex barrel with the under barrel tube mag, my bloody brother got his hands on it while I was away and cut it down to use as a finisher offer, wasn't happy. One of these days I'll get around to renewing and changing my SA licence to NSW. Have to do the whole course but it'll happen.
@Thehuntsmanshow
@Thehuntsmanshow Жыл бұрын
Starting with a 3030 is crazy haha. But it would have put a fire in your belly for sure. Mate, NSW has some of the best hunting in the country. You should get your R License (takes 60 minutes online and costs $40) and then head out to some of the state forest. You'll have the time of your life.

@@Thehuntsmanshow Thanks mate. Was thinking I had to do the same as when I went to SA. Had to do a practical course then join a target shooting club for three months. I remember as a kid walking into the local police station/house with dad and getting a piece of paper that said I could shoot almost anything but an AK-47 or something.

@@tajcuriousgallivanter270 id rather be in your shoes looking for a deer that's not in a fenced off paddock and not raised on a farm where they are hand fed ... when do you ever go hunting where the deer run up to a buggy and just stand there, i rather hunt free range stags and bucks , this place is like shooting fish in a barrel ... the few big wapiti x reds ive got over the years where I found where they were living and then you have to find them then you have to stalk in one stick snapping under foot , wind change , see you move and its all over these deer are nothing like that , i suppose the buffalo are free range , they look so out of place it isn't funny but there will be some dickhead that will pay 5k to go and hunt one , they will just stand there , walk up to it and put the barrel on its head and shoot it , then they will be telling the story of stalking in on the big wild buffalo that could have charged and kill you with its horns 😳.. this isnt hunting its a park of animals that have never been free range in there lives

Hi Brent, at the moment it's a semi fenced property that borders a reserve. The deer can come and go as they want, but eventually it's all going to be fenced I think 😀

@@Thehuntsmanshow those deer have been paid for then released in the paddock i will bet my life those deer cant come and go from a reserve , they are way to calm to hunt because there like pets , what they see you then come running at you for a feed , wouldn't catch me at these places theres no excitement shooting a animal like this it's pretty pathetic if you are a true hunter its like shooting fish in a barrel

I think you might have got confused or missed the opening line of the video Dave, "I just got off the plane..." it was only a short 5 hour hunt I snuck into a larger trip. There another video on the channel which documents a hunt that shows a lot more game if you're interested in that kind of thing. Our community here is all about positively, mateship and encouraging each other. If that's not your thing Dave this channel is probably not going to work for you. Hope your doing well in life mate and getting out for a hunt yourself. - Chris

All these goats , deer and buffalo will eat out of your hand , all bred in a paddock then released in another paddock where they can't get out , its got me buggered how you could feel good about shooting a animal that would eat out of your hand , wouldn't catch me on one of those propertys if it was paid for and then seeing a blind set up , you couldn't spot and stalk these animals because once they see you they come running at you waiting a feed , all good and well hunting on these pay propertys but dont call yourself a hunter , hunters are the people that chase there chosen species in the bush where there not trapped in by high fences , clearly all the animals on this property are tame , theses are pet deer , pet goats .. hard to make them spook when they see people because they asociate people with food

Hi mate, thanks for sharing your opinion. I agree that if all you do is hunt on fenced properties you can't call yourself a hunter. However I do believe there is a place for properties like this, especially for as a platform to help beginners learn how to 'hunt' in a controlled space so that they can then go out into the bush with some skills. If we are serious about animal welfare and ethical hunting these properties provide an excellent opportunity to teach these things 'on the job' so to speak. If we put new hunters through properties like this before they were allowed to hunt on public land we'd have fewer animal and human wounding incidents. While it's not my cup of tea, they also serve as a way for people to hunt specific trophies. Again, I agree with you, it's more of a transaction then true hunting. Although with that said, many of these properties are huge and you could walk all day and night and not see a fence, so there is still a challenge, albeit not as grand or difficult as hunting in the wild. Also what do we do for those people who are unable to get out into the bush? People in wheelchairs? Personally, I want to be exposed to all forms of the lifestyle so I can gain a full appreciation of what making hunting beautiful, fun, interesting, exciting and fulfilling and then make up my own mind. I want to rough it in the bush on the highest mountains, I want harvest meat from private properties and I want buzz around a high fenced property and see epic animal I could only dream of seeing in my lifetime. For me life is about learning, and we learn through experiences. Thanks again for your comments and for sharing your thoughts :)

@@Thehuntsmanshow 100% agree with what you are saying dont get me wrong ive bow hunted for 30+ years and nothing is the same these days expecally with pay propertys which I think is a great idea, someone has 50000 - 200000 acres with deer , goats pig on it why not go for it but people that fence off a farm so nothing can escape then buys animals as tame as these animals just pisses me right off , if you couldn't get near those animals fair enough but driving around in a buggy with game animals just standing there like they have been hand fed there whole lives then placed in a paddock that they cant get out of is just shit in every way .... I ll be honest and say i find the way a lot of americans hunt is pathetic and there not a hunters asshole , lure animals in with bait and sit in a tree stand or in a blind wearing camo .. pppffftt , watching propertys like this springing up with pet animals to hunt ... I just don't want to see this kind of bullshit hunting in australia , young bow hunter is going to fork out his thousands of dollars , kill a pet 12 point red stag on the first day because its chasing him around the paddock then his going to go out in the bush and not get one on the first , second or third day and go this is shit im going back to the pay propertys and his not going to ever learn anything, pay propertys i understand but not this kind of pet animals in a fenced off paddock they dont have a chance and its just not right but thats just my opinion and thats all it is , i appreciate your time and happy hunting

Sorry mate you feel that way. It wasn't my intention to be miss leading with the title or the thumbnail. Just to make it interesting. engaging and keep it truthful. That's why I posed the poacher part of the content as a question. If we had found those poachers, and filmed what happened then I would have made the title and thumbnail more definitive. Did you watch the entire video? Did you see what happened? Always happy for constructive feedback and would be keen to hear why you thought the thumbnail or title was 'clickbait'. Hope you're well and been able to get out for a hunt yourself. - Chris

@@Thehuntsmanshow Someone hunting next door or on the same area with consent isn't a poacher. That's often a term canned hunters & "guides" use to try to justify their attitude that they own every pest and their ethics are somehow superior.
