If you want to go mad you can get a motor mount for a 540 sized motor and squeeze 2 3s lipos in the battery bays and run 6s if you fit a bigger esc.( you will need to fit a different shell though, beetle or pickup I think fit (I have the vw beetle shell 🙂) ) Deffo upgrade the drive shafts as well as the A arms front and rear with RPM arms and also RPM hubs , it takes all the play out of the steering making high speed runs easier to control. If you want to stop the chassis breaking go for a T bone under tray and bumper set (unbreakable guarantee), a center diff will help calm down the wheelies and help with cornering too, also helps to save the front and rear diff from wearing out so quickly with the extra power.

Wow, you can really tell those monster truck axles are extra wide. I could see that truck being super stable around corners.

Ive been watching kev for the past 3 in a half years now he finaly doing something to the monster truck

if you want to make the mini e revo extra crazy, get the motor mount from a brushed mini e revo. the brushed mini e revo uses the normal 12 turn motor thats in the 1/10 scale traxxas cars. that means you can put in the traxxas 3500 brushless motor, or any 1/10 scale brushless system, youll be doing standing backflips for days!

Shim the front and rear diffs, center diff helps. Front A arms need to be rpm A Arms. If you’re bashing the steel drive shafts work great. Best truck tires are the big joe 2’s from proline.

That mini E-Revo is a weapon on 4s... wow. Geeez Kevin and crew, you got that MT built up quick in a week!!! I'm sure there's plenty still to do but at least it's rolling and holding her own weight. Well done!!

I have this little mini-revo. Not really into rc but wanted something I could keep in my trunk. All I did is put 2 of the regular batteries in series, a wheelie bar, and a heat sink and it's plenty fun. Car charger works great for how I use it. I think I might add a bit stiffer springs and a center diff. It does seem to bottom out quite a bit stock.

Def. a fun car!!! Crazy fast on 2 3s lipo ran in parallel. It did turn into a money pit though for such a small rc. T-Bone Chassis, rpm a-arms, large motor heat sink, stiffer springs, thicker oil (like 80wt to keep bottoming out), and shim the diffs. I haven't broken any driveshafts or diffs IDK if its luck or my driving style of easing onto the gas.

I have had a Mini e-revo Brushless VXL for a while now, its an awesome little unit! I ended up loading it up with bash plates and all sorts of stuff, but then it got too heavy, so you really need to keep it light :) I run mine on 3s (dual 3s running in parallel) and you still have to be gentle :)

I was one of the ones that told you to get it. My motor just went out on mine so be careful of overheating or shrink wrap melting off and shorting out the motor. Have fun!

I've been wanting one of these since it came out, but so many people on more than 1 forum keep telling me not to do it because they say it's a money pit. Don't get me wrong , these same people say it's amazing when it actually runs, but that it's constantly needing repairs. They also say they do t abuse it either, but that it pretty much will break if you look at it wrong. It's a shame, because I'd really like one but I'm pretty new at this and frankly I don't have the skill and time it apparently takes to keep the tires on the ground.

I love my mini erevo! As soon as I fixed the rear diff stripping issue. Would love to see more vids with it. You should ultimately do a big block motor mod on it and have a super duper crazy fast tiny rc lol

The mini e-revo converts to a mini summit aswell with jist a few parts to swap & obviously the bodyshell , i did that , loved it then sold it & regretted it even as i packaged it up to send on .

I have had one of these for years and they are great, very fast, very light so does take a lot to break them in a crash. I run mine on 2 3s 1500's and easily does wheelies at over half throttle and standing backflips are super easy to do. And with it's small size easy to take with you anywhere.

Got one of these for my son as his first real hobby grade RC. Have had it for a month and already got new front and rear control arms, front bulk head, center diff, new wheels/tires for more ground clearance, wheelie bar, several batteries, new gearing (to go with the bigger tires), new heavier springs, shock oil....for the price of all this crap I could have gotten him a MAXX or kraton 6s

I LOVE my mini e revo! Theyre so much cheaper to run too especially compared to the full size version lol my erevo 2.0 lasted 4 days before it burnt up the motor and that was after one run on 6s with stock gearing.... thankfully traxxas is replacing both esc and motor.

Kamtec do a 1/12 ABS Ford escort mk1 van body shell that fits the merv ,you just need to fit Traxxas Summit body mounts,only comes in white though😁

Ive got my 1/16 erevo setup to run 6s for speed runs, shes a beast! You will want a Tbone chassis brace to turn that thing into an absolute TANK!

I've had a mini revo for about 4 years now and the only problem woth them is younhave to put a center differential in it, and you can't make them wide enough. They are still so much fun though.
