I like the continuity of the cardboard house being destroyed in previous videos. Can you even call it a house at this point though? Also to those saying it is too "save money" this damage was caused in one of his animations. So he had to damage it himself to make it seem like its the same place.

Crazy Taxi’s imitators never really understood that it wasn’t just the mechanics, it was also the vibes. The way passengers talked to you, the soundtrack, the design of the cars, the drivers’ personalities, etc. all added up to a really singular experience. A lot of the imitators assumed that what was fun about Crazy Taxi was driving people around, but it wasn’t - it was the whole experience. It’s a relic of its time, an icon of gaming, and also apparently has some racist ass character design for BD Joe that 6 year old me did not pick up on bc what the fuck how did I never see that

@@jessy1982 he kinda looks like he was designed to look like a Black caricature - think Golliwog dolls. I doubt it was deliberate, and his later character art and models aren’t like it as much, but his in-game model in the original definitely has a bit of yikes in hindsight.

The first time I saw Crazy Taxi was in a furniture store on a PS2, just to be part of a children's room display. It was playable and it was lovely. Flash forward to about 20 years later, I volunteered at a one-day gaming convention where Crazy Taxi was one of the few and hotly competitive tournaments for the high score, on the Dreamcast. So glad people still care for this game , and I care about Noodle for fun videos and quirky drawings :)

The humor, the pacing, the nice cardboard look... You say that it takes less effort to do those cardboard fillers than actual full animations, but both oozes of charm. More and more I'm starting to like those cardboard videos more than full animations :D

I jumped that bridge a long time ago, I definitely prefer those cardboard animations to (for exemple) his last animation on nfs, which felt completely soulless and had no personnality imo (maybe because of all the animators involved)

Because I feel like combining the main elements of two different game series while also putting something on the table that gives it it’s own identity, can hardly be considered stealing. Heck, technically, you’d only really be able to use the word “stealing” if the game didn’t add on to the already existing idea in some way, whether that be through it’s story or it’s mechanics… Or both.

Honestly idrc what anyone says these cardboard videos are great. And honestly it takes a lot of work to set up something like that. Like he set up a whole room and over time slowly ruined it to follow the “story line” of the house.

My favorite sega port is Space Channel 5 Part 2, where when streaming for a friend who had played the game with nostalgia, the game just started to straight up randomly add notes into the mix for me to deal with, not even acknowledging that the game sometimes refuses to be in english or synced correctly

I like how the background has consistency and that it's the same background as all the other videos, and that it gets more and more destructive. Also noodle, I want to say thank you for all your Videos they give me so much joy and I love rewatching them and seeing all the little details that you put in them and all the easter eggs. Compared to the animation KZfaqrs, you are by far the best one. and also... I like your art style. But if I ever started a channel, I hope that I could do as good as you, and maybe do things a little in your style while keeping my own identity. Thank you for inspiring me.

Hear me out: We need people as dedicated as the Mania team working on a remastered version of Crazy Taxi: High Roller. The original PC port is tolerable but with polish and people that care (and easier means to get it) it could be the best version of Crazy Taxi

@zachs23 I'm worried about potential future plans Sega might have for Crazy Taxi. They have this "Super Game" thing they want to make that's inspired by metaverse and fortnite for some reason?? It will involve a lot of their IPs, but is likely to have NFTs as well. Bad sign. They already mentioned Crazy Taxi and even Jet Set Radio to be a part of it. Or at least an article reported that.

The fact that this video released when it did is terrifying because I just got into crazy taxi on my phone. I checked both the xbox store and the eshop and I saw taxi chaos. All of this happened days before this video released

Remember playing some game at a friend's bday party, and thinking back on it it was either a Crazy Taxi game or some ripoff (because none of the Crazy Taxi games I've seen match up with my memories of that game). NPCs that you could pick up had money signs over their heads, there were massive transparent red walls in front of locked areas, and I remember a subway being part of the map (it had a train that could crash into you).

I’ll tell you what, I work in an arcade that focuses on older, nostalgic games. We have a Crazy Taxi machine, and oh boy, that’s the car simulator that breaks 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙊𝙎𝙏 𝙤𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙣. Probably due to the high traffic and nostalgia of the game, but still.

I really enjoy the style of recording. I watch a lot of these analysis videos, both with and without animation, but the use of pseudo-stop motion filmmaking in these cutaway scenes really makes this so original and creatively Noodle
