In May of 2005 Cream returned to London's Royal Albert Hall-to the same stage where they had completed what was thought to be their final performance in 1968. It was one of the most eagerly anticipated, hard-to-get tickets in rock history. With the exception of a brief reunion set at their 1993 induction into the Rock and roll Hall of Fame, Cream had not played together in nearly four decades. This DVD documents Cream's momentous London shows. Performances from each of the four nights are featured and much more. Also included are alternate performances and interviews with Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce, and Eric Clapton. Cream formed in 1966 and disbanded in 1968. The band were a prolific and thrilling live act and toured incessantly in their short but remarkable history.

I saw Cream Live in concert at the Leicester university UK in the late 60's . I just missed catching one of Ginger Bakers drum sticks Damn!!!

Greatest trio in rock along with ZZ Top. Each one of them is totally professional. They are so tight tonight. Amazing. I just can't understand the people in Britain sitting in their seats the entire concert. When I saw them back in the '60s everybody was standing up and dancing the whole concert. We went crazy with the music because it was so amazing. I lived in the Cleveland area and almost every band stopped there on tours. So the audience was very knowledgeable about what good music was. When we heard Cream it was like it was from another planet. We had never heard people jamming on one song for a half hour. I came out of that concert drenched in sweat and beer. A good video to watch is "Beware of Mr. Baker." It's on YT.

Seen Clapton in 91…he saved I think it was three Cream songs for the end of the show. The volume clearly went up, the band came alive and nearly thee entire audience came up outta their seats…everyone was singing out at the top of their lungs! It was a phuckin beautiful sight/sound 🙌

What is remarkable about Cream is that they are the pioneer in bringing Jamm sessions to stage. They dont have a stage persona.. its rather a Jamm persona

marshalampman - actually besides a few (disputed) gigs in 66' dude, clapton never played a les paul in cream. an SG yes. I agree with your Pro-Gibson stance, however. (but EC said they tried and the Gibson 'attack' hurt Jack's ears.)

I don't like the growl(higher frequencies content) of that Warwick bass that Jack is using as compared to the Gibsons that he used earlier. Also, the Warwick seems to lack punch, maybe because it's fretless? Wow, once Clapton gets warmed up he really cooks!

this song is almost impossible to play correctly all the way through--i've never quite understood why they decided to make the drum riff so robotic for this track--typically Baker's beats aren't so "boom-thwack-boom-thwack"--

Disappointingly lame. The solo of this original was one of the greatest laid back recordings Clapton was realized for. It wouldn't have been difficult for him to emulate this and give the fans what they came for.

the drummer should've broken his arm before entering the stage, the man's absolutely out of time, he takes so much time to get into the song, in the beginning, really, it's incredible. so many mistakes, gadd should've come instead, would've sounded much better,

Steve Badd couldn't tie Ginger Baker's shoelaces! If one notices, all their live numbers are performed differently from the originals. This is something that they apparently all agreed upon. It seems to me that they rehearsed the songs before going live and preferred the format, possibly so the jams didn't get out of control or go too long. Sir, I am sorry to say that you have Cream Derangement Syndrome! I was arguing with a poster named Shoot First about Jimi Hendrix constantly tuning his guitar. He obviously had Hendrix Derangement Syndrome! Why are you listening to the Cream? So you can put down Ginger Baker? I'll bet you are a big fan of the Rolling Drones, like Mr. Shoot off your mouth. Do you still want to challenge me? Bring it on!...
