you made the top right corner of the beam brighter. but gravity pulls most of the fog down, so it should get dimmer the higher the light is and brighter towards the floor, as there are more particles near the floor to reflect the light. thanks for the tutorial.

+Phlearn Photoshop and Photography Tutorials Hello! Nice video btw! Uhm I have an issue and I hope you could answer me when you get a chance, anyway. The issue is I keep on getting horizontal lines from top to bottom of the screen after I apply a lighting effect... Do you know why this is happening? All I simply do is filter- render-lighting effects- style default, light type spotlight... Thank you in advance!

Real nice. Now that I've been staring at it for this 10+ minutes though, one thing bothers me: The beam shouldn't be lighting the trees up like that on the top right section of the image, the trees should be underexposed and the rays of light should be illuminating just the fog that it's going through.

I'm impressed with the techniques in this tutorial but I can't help feel like others on this thread that the 'spotlight' you're painting in wouldn't illuminate trees out of its direct path and so I think this would look amazing if the beam of light actually receded in intensity closer to the source.
