I made a fountain pen out of rare wood provided by a client.
It is a time-consuming and difficult task, but I find it rewarding.

The drill chuck I use is made up of three jaws, and tightening them in three directions (holes) fixes the drill bit accurately and firmly.

Seeing this creation is a true epiphany. only note is about 1 minute of video: you have to pay attention to your fingers, pushing the block with a piece of wood would increase safety. always be careful. fabulous!

It is safer to do the work by hand. You shouldn't even wear gloves. I have never been injured using my method for over 30 years. Your advice is very much appreciated~

As an avid fountain pen user - the pen for me is about balance in the finders and hand - the finger grip comfotableness for extensive use and absolute quality of the nib also the ink is important too. Your casing is lovely and elegant but of secondary importance to a user of fountain pens always.

I agree with you. The fountain pens I make are not for fountain pen fanatics or avid users, so I don't make them even if they want to. It's just, there are people who make it like this... I want you to look at it. I'm not a fountain pen maker, so I don't just make fountain pens. Since I am a metal craftsman, the fountain pen is just one of many kinds of things I make. Avid users don't have to care about the fountain pens I made, as they can use whatever suits their taste.

함침한 나무를 안좋아 하시는 이유를 모르겠습니다만, 제가 생각하는 함침목 이란, 자연에서 얻은 최고의 소재와 인간의 감성과 노력이 만나... 더욱 귀한 자연과 인간의 합작품이라 생각합니다. 좋은 함침목이 어떻게 만들어지는가를 제대로 모르는 사람들이, 혹은 정말 제대로 만든 최고의 함침목을 다루어 보지 않고 눈으로만 본 사람들이, 자신이 알고 있는 상식(함침을 그냥 물감 물들이기 정도로 알고 있는 경우가 대부분) 한도내에서 이해하지 못하는 경우, 함침목을 좋아하지 않는다... 라고 강조해서 말하곤 합니다. 함침목은 기술과 기교 작업자의 감성 컬러와 무늬결과 목리를 읽는 혜안이 있어야만 최고로 만들수 있는 것입니다. 거기에 예민한 압력조절, 온도조절,시간조절,,, 등 헤아릴수 없는 작업조건을 충족해야 좋은 소재로 만들어 지는, 아주 어렵고도 귀한 소재 입니다. 선입견을 가지지 마시고, 넓은 아량으로 사물(소재)을 보아 주시면 좋겠습니다.^^

There is no official vendor If you trust me, and if you have a clear international shipping address, I can gladly make you a fountain pen. However, you must be able to wait for it to take time to complete. I have a Korean bank account, but I don't know how to get money from abroad.

I have a wife who majored in jewelry design and works as a designer, a son in college, and a daughter in high school. I always do my best to be the head of a family that is not ashamed of. I have been creating custom artwork for over 30 years. never once broke a promise. Thank you very much for trusting Koreans, including me. I only focus on making things well and work. So I don't know how to sell abroad, and I have to learn it, but it's difficult. I’m sure your “machine” (it’s called a bandsaw) is perfectly fine. It’s the operator who needs safety training; you. Blade guard should never be more than a 1/2” higher than what it’s cutting.

@@SilverMeister This isn't work it's art, I admire anyone who can turn this into that but these pens are something else. When you make something look easy that's when you know it's really hard and I dread to think how many hours you put into not just the work but the video too. Can you feel that??
