When I see Minecraft mods sometimes I'll be like "oh I should get that." When I saw this I went "I NEED THIS."

The fact that you used WorldEdit on the boat contraption and weren't even surprised that it worked was really mind-boggling for me.

I remember Archimedes' Ships for 1.7.10 and this is so much better! I've been burned out on Minecraft for quite some time now, but maybe I'll revisit this game sometime for this!

To talk about the mod, with some of the issues you found on it while playing it, do keep note that the mod is basically still in a beta/incomplete phase, and while it has create compatibility, it isn’t full atm since it’s till in development. But in the future I believe they are planning on making it possible to make trains work on builds and to increase the compatibility with create.

Well both aeronautics and VS (from what I’ve heard) have ships as basically their own dimension, rendered in the normal world, so you can do practically everything you could do in a static world on a ship, which is pretty cool

I half thought aeronautics released early or you got an early access build or something Aeronautics has submarines with air on the inside though -how has this been hidden from me all the time yeah I agree with you shalz-

This looks cool, but the aeronautics integration with create as the source of movement is what I am most waiting for.

I'm already wondering what other superior mods you'll find, you've already played 2 of my most favorite mods (immersive portals and create) and I think from now this one in the video becomes my favorite too.

I haven't seen this mod in years and the fact that it's still around and is being updated is amazing. i wonder is you could do real pirate ship battles with this mod combo.

Just wait when clockwork is released (It adds more create integration to vs, ex: flying with massive propellers)

The sheer possibility these two mods together create is baffling. I am absolutely in love with this idea and would love to see more!

IIRC a couple days back on the ftb subreddit someone showed off a VS addon… thing? Like eureka called Clockwork, which allowed for create functionality in VS ships, including trains. Not sure how far along it is, but it might be worth looking into.

Oh my god this is literally everything I ever wanted out of a minecraft mod... fully mobile tile entities that act THE SAME as their block counterparts. This is absurd, I have no idea how it's possible, but I love it.

I run a little home server with my daughters where we sail around the world in a big ship and then we park little flying ships on it so we can explore and fly around by ourselves too. It's super cool, you can even go to sleep and wake up in the ship, of you get killed you respawn on the ship no matter where it is. The only downside is if you log out you login in the middle of nowhere and you have to die to teleport back to the ship.

You can use engines to increase the speed of a vessel

Played with this mod a while ago and found something, the ship steering wheel has a sort of stabilizer on it that prevents boats from tipping over. Assembling the boat and then removing the wheel allows you to have full physics

Valkyrien Skies 2 is going to be better than aeronautics, and I'm pretty sure aeronautics took some code from Valkyrien skies 2 as the dev of VS2 made a video on it

The base of this mod has been around forEVER (since before 1.7, it was called Archimedes' Ships back then.) I'm so glad to see it ressurected and improved (you used to not be able to edit ships)

Dude. This mod was in yog labs. It has been around. I am mostly surprised we have a modern version again. Plato's Transporters (The successor to Davinci's vessals (The successor to Archemedis ships)) is mean to do about the same thing but it does it really poorly, and was never intended to let you run around on deck.

Create mod ought to add some more train features, like articulated bogeys (two halves of a train can share a bogey), coupling/decoupling for switching yards and maybe a way to change the pitch of the steam whistle. That, and maybe you can make a carfloat with the boat mod too. Just imagine switching traincars around, then loading them onto a carfloat and shipping them out to a player's base, offloading them and continuing along.

I had thought that this was Create Aeronautics, but surprised to see it was something else instead.

Don't know if someone else mentioned it but gonna say it just incase, there's a block in the mod that makes the boats and such move faster if you wanted.

Just a note the mod does have full physics interactions it's just that the helm keeps the ship upright and limits it breaking the helm will let it tumble around

I'm late to the party, but to change things like deployer filters you need to disassemble the object first. The same goes for adjusting the speed of creative motors or adjustable gear ratio thingies, which were how I found out.

You have to make a working helicopter with this… you could use the airship but the blades will just be for show, but they will still spin. Plus I think making a huge ship with cannons is a great idea.

That mod is quite old actually, even more than create, but it got a lot of changes with time, on the pass it didn't had those float mechanics, but it had a max blocks, you could fly a specific number of blocks per floater/Ballon
