how do you cut the cabinet door in half?

There are a few ways to do it. Using Ctrl+R to add a loop cut down the center and then deleting one half is probably the quickest.

When resizing the cabinet doors at 2:45, how did you keep the cabinet frames absolutely sized. I noticed the top and bottom of portions of the door frame didnt change in relative size as you scaled the cabinet doors down.

An excellent question! I was in edit mode (face selection to be exact) and selected only the parts that would need to move in order to resize the drawer rather than actually scaling anything.

Great tutorial.... short and informative But at 1:32 there is another loopcut that you didn't mention the measurements for that

That cut's measurement doesn't matter since it is immediately being snapped to the cut from 1:26. Unless I am misinterpreting your comment.

hello great tutorial but I'm stuck at around 4:06 did you also put a mirror modifier on the cabinet handles and selected the base as the mirror object?

It's been a long time since recording this 😆 but yes, it looks like that's what I did. It also looks like my editing may have cut out part of the explanation of what I was doing.

Why do we parent them, is that for moving them easier or something?

In this case, yes. You could also just join them all as one mesh but that may limit what you can do with each module. Totally up to you.

Meters are the easiest to work with when modeling. However, the vast majority of my audience is from the US. Metric is virtually not existent here.
