Creative destruction is an economic term that means that new technologies come online and destroy the need for older inventions and systems. Creative destruction sometimes causes a shift in jobs and other times simply changes how people use things day to day. In this video we discuss the role of gold and silver before looking at the current and emerging technologies that might take the place of some of gold and silvers roles. In the end we look at crypto currency, barter items, and even our own current fiat monetary system as alternatives to gold and silver. None of these quite fill the role as well as gold and silver does.
