Creative Night Photography with CineStill 800T
In today's video, I am doing some creative night photography with CineStill 800T. This was the first roll of CineStill 800T that I've ever shot, and I was really happy with the results. It was really cold when I loaded this film into my camera, so it took me about a month to get through the roll. Can I count this as a one-month review of CineStill 800T? Lol but I was very happy with a few shots in particular. I really loved the gas mask photos. Photography with props is really fun and makes your work more interesting and unique. I will definitely be shooting more with props and masks and stuff from now on. The "Gas Mask Guy" will return as well. I hope you enjoyed my CineStill 800T review. If you enjoy film photography and cinematography, make sure to SUBSCRIBE for more videos!

My favourite kinds are probably forests, urban decay and street photography, where by street photography, I mean photographing in the streets, not people photography, as it is usually taken to mean. I don't take pictures of strangers, other than if they happen to be in my shot and I couldn't avoid them.

@ReimannPembroke
@ReimannPembroke 2 ай бұрын
I have handheld longer shutter times, but I hardly ever get away with anything slower than 1/15th of a second without blur. There is a "rule" out the saying to not go lower than the focal length of your lens. So, if you're using a 35mm lens, try not to handhold below 1/30th

I’ve had my film come out pretty green before. It seems like it has a slightly less dynamic range when you compare it to other films like Portra or fujis pro films. I get the best results when I really try to nail the exposure it also takes a little editing to get the colors where you want them usually!

Why do all the white lights change to that orange colour?
@ReimannPembroke
@ReimannPembroke 2 жыл бұрын
If you’re talking about the red/orange rings around the lights, that is called halation. Cinestill 800T is a cinema film that has been reworked to be used for photography and developed in C41 chemistry. To achieve this, Cinestill removes a layer from the film emulsion which prevents halation. This gives it that glowy look. If you just mean the color temperature of the lights. It probably has to do with the film being tungsten balanced

How do you meter for these? I feel like mine have been either under or over exposed on my Nikon F2
@ReimannPembroke
@ReimannPembroke Жыл бұрын
I usually try to meter for mid tones or sometimes shadows. If the exposure is longer than a couple seconds, I usually add about half of what the original exposure time was to the original meter reading. So if my meter said 10 seconds, I would add 5 seconds for a total of 15. Sometimes I’ll look for the reciprocity chart for the film I’m using too if I want to get really precise
@ZombieChrist13069
@ZombieChrist13069 Жыл бұрын
