This video is part two of a three-part tutorial. The total tutorial video was over 3 hours long so I broke it up into 3 parts for easier viewing. Part one will be in the links below and three will be added as it is finished. I tried not to do any work off-camera so you get all the instructions needed to create your own paper clay face. There will be a 4th video involving this sculpt before the sculpt is finished for sale and I will show you how I paint and seal paper clay, and decorate the piece in that final video. Thank you G torrez. I am actually working on the conclusion video for this piece as I am typing this. I broke it into 3 parts so it was easier to manage. I am glad you enjoyed the videos.

@@ooakartwithlindaE I don't mind long videos in real time at all. I can always speed up on my end if needed. But usually I watch from start to finish.

Thank you for sharing this in real time! I'm almost 2 years into my ceramic life and still very much exploring the various techniques, mediums and styles. I just discovered paper clay as I'm making a nautical theme chess set and the porcelain I was working with was too short to hold up to the shapes I was making. After a bit of research, I added some toilet paper to the clay and, as if by magic, it started behaving itself! Like you, I ran a country store for 30 years. Most of that was 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. So having time, now, to follow my artistic dreams is like a luxury! I identified with your story about your gift shop. It's great that you show the challenges as well as the successes. We all face them, and sometimes, watching edited videos, we forget that even the most accomplished artists don't do everything perfect all the time. I'm looking forward to part 3, and thank you again for sharing this!

Thank you for your comments. I decided that mistakes are just as beneficial to see as anything else because I can then show at least one was to fix them. I love paper clay, I have been reading about low fire ceramic paper clay, but this is air dry class. Although my friends who use the kiln clay tell me it behaves in similar ways sculpting wise.
