Thank you for your question! It does evaporate quickly, but not so fast that the surface does not melt, and if you needed to melt more, just reapply. This is why I love the nail polish removed dispenser. It gives me easy access to more any time I need it.

It is very hard to record painting the eyes with a head this small. I have to have my hand and my head close to the head so I can see what I am doing and also get the camera in there without bumping it with my head or my hands. The head I painted the eyes on was almost double this one's size. I just finished recording a Day of the Dead face paint including painting her eyes. The only difference between painting blue eyes and green eyes is the paint color. I made a series of three videos where I make armature. My dolls are pretty big and it is hard to keep them in frame and not also have me in the frame. Lol, my anxiety is ridiculous, I know. Each of the three videos demonstrates a different way to make an armature. You would only need to watch the beginning section of each. With armature size is everything. The bigger the doll, the more heavy duty your armature needs to be. They American bull dog video is how almost all of my dolls armatures are made. The bones allow the limbs to be strong and stable but still easy to pose. I will eventually do a full start to finish doll video but it would be 10 or more hours of video. If I post it in real time without edits and fast forward, it will not be fun to watch. Lol but I will get brave enough to be in the frame through the whole video eventually I hope and will make one. Anxiety is no fun.

I believe that was Caucasian Prosculpt. You can use resin or glass or any kind of eye you like but they can be expensive and as this type of face, for my purposes is going to be used for crafting on wreaths or in mixed media art and I try to keep the prices reasonable. So the Acrylic eyes make sense to me to use as they are much less expensive. You can usually find them at 8 pairs for $11.99 or less. Whereas resin eyes run $6.00 or more a pair. See what I mean. I bought 100 pairs for one time for $50.00 While I doubt I will ever find a deal like that again, I have a large supply of acrylic eyes. I am glad you like this face.

@@ooakartwithlindaE I make my own resin eyes, but I've read they can melt or distort if you put them in then bake it.

@@aussiemachandmadeeverything I have been told that it depends on the kind of resin. I would test it by baking the resin eyes and see what happens. I make my own eyes also but I use cabochons and polymer clay. I bought molds and resin from a friend to try it but sadly the eyes did not turn out right even after trying all of her suggestions. I can say though that the few pairs that did turn out came through the baking process just fine. I need a pressure pot or something to get the eyes to not have air bubbles.

@@ooakartwithlindaE what I did last night is make some polymer eye molds, so I can paint inside tge socket, then I'm going to bake them, & put the in the head, then bake the head, fill the socket up will self levelling resin & I can cure the resin with a black torch light & see how they turn out, I'll send you another pic then, Thankyou for yr replies & suggestions, I guess you have to experiment don't you ? Thanks I am glad you found the video. I was using cloth covered floral wire. Yes, I am far sighted so I have to wear multiple pairs of glasses to see what I am sculpting sculpting and that means that I can not see the screen clearly because the glasses distort anything that is not within a foot of me. If I touch my glasses the solvent in the clay damages the plastic frame. I have ruined a couple of pairs that way. I bought a bigger screen since that video was made, so it happens less often. I wish I could rewind time and fix it, but the parts that you could see, I tried to explain verbally. Anyway, I hope you still enjoyed the video.

It is not a typo. I started making art when I was 5. LOL I have always been artistically inclined. I was making and selling painted shells by the time I was 9. I painted beach scenes on sea shells Sea Horses and other nautical creatures as well and I turned them into ornaments and sold them to the beach shops that sold them to tourists. It was fun and I always had arcade money. By the time I hit High School, I had already learned how to paint just about any subject with acrylic and watercolor paints and how to draw realistic still life and portraits with pencils, pen and ink, and chalk. I got into the Art Majors program after starting freshman year when the program head saw my work over my shoulder. I did not even know the school had an art majors program. Normally you had to apply ahead of time. I was also very lucky to live close to the College where Ralph Baney taught. He was an amazing sculptor from Trinidad who had exhibited his work in Galleries around the world. I was able to learn life-sized portrait sculpting in Terra Cotta from him as well as sculpting in Wood and Stone. Making dolls was a total flip of what I already knew as the normal tools were useless when working so small but it quickly became my obsession and it is what I have been focusing on for the last 15 years. Although the background education that I had with Portrait drawing and painting and also general anatomy drawing knowledge definitely helped. The KZfaq Bio does not really have enough space to fit all of that. LOL

Thank you very much, Aussie! I am glad that you like my videos. I use copper electrical wire. I get it at Home Depot It comes with a plastic covering that had to be removed if you are going to bake it along with the clay but it does not have to be removed if you are going to glue the prebaked pieces onto the armature. It can be expensive wire but it is so durable, but if you know an electrician you can ask them to save you their cut-off pieces. When I make really big dolls, I use Steel tension wire that is used for supporting the top of long runs of chain link fencing to the "bones" section of the dolls or to be the legs in general if they are meant to always be standing and I will even double it up. That would also be available in places like Home Depot. But my preference for any doll under 3 feet is Copper. And it comes in a bunch of different sizes. But the plastic coating can put off toxic smoke if burned so remove it first if the armature is going to be baked.
