Happy to hear that! Many ppl never establish their credit profile due to fear but that’s why it’s important to educate. Kudos to you for being willing to learn and your credit profile will change for the better

Closed accounts still are calculated into score until 10 years after it’s closed tho , my old starter cards are all closed it didn’t effect my score at all so I’m not understanding

My credit score decreased when I closed 1/2 dozen retail accounts. It rebounded in about 6 months. I was ok with the temporary decline for accounts that I never used or would need to charge on to keep them active.

You are truly a blessing. My question is that I have 10 cc and I always pay my balance two days before my statement date. Should I still put my all of my cards on autopay or not? I ask that because I don’t carry over a balance.

Can you do a stream on late payments? I have questions...if you have late payments for more than a year on a loan, but at least a year of on-time payments, should you just go ahead and follow step 4 of your credit process (and try to get the whole thing deleted off)? Or should you just try to get the late payments deleted 5 at a time until they are all gone (using step 3 of your process)? Also keep in mind I have to make one last payment before the account is paid off for late fees/interest accrued over the lifetime of the loan.

If I pay my credit card balance down to 0 before the statement end date. Will I get all the points for my utilization? Please help. I just got my first credit card.

Short answer no. Credit is a game, and when you play a game your playing to win. They only to win with credit is have a strategy. Your profile will dictate your score increases and decrease. Since this is your first card focus on low utilization… it’s key for you to stay around 10% also get other accounts to help your account mixture that will also help with utilization

How do we use 1-3% on the Amex gold technically its considered a charge card. There's no preset spending limit. Asking because I wanna build history with them to get the amex blue everyday or whatever it's called
