This large farmhouse in Central Ontario sits far back from the road a large farming property. It appears to have been decaying since 2003 based on some of the artifacts that have been left behind, but that could be wrong as the extend of the decay suggests longer.
Heavily damaged from water vandals and time this house is just waiting to be reclaimed by mother nature.
Every so often I explorer house that is creepier than normal and this one gave me those feelings. The damp and dripping ceilings and the chill in the air just made it extraordinarily creepy.
You can still see some evidence of the grandeur of this house hardwood floors window casings and door casings and what is left of the gingerbread around the exterior. Even the pianos in the garage tell me this was once a family home that was once loved and cared for.
See what features you like best about this house and let me know in the comments.

What a sad, lonely, desolate place. Especially this time of year. Can see a 60's remuddle in the colors and wallpaper in the rooms. Must've been a really nice place, though, back when family farms were a profitable lifestyle. Now folks are crowded into urban areas for jobs and conveniences and farmland is becoming corporate owned. Makes me kinda sad, because I can see our old farm, which is situated in a fairly rural, isolated area, becoming like this in the not so distant future. Thanks for taking us around. Nice job! Bet you were cold when you got back to you car. Take care.

That house used to have a 'widow's walk' on top of the roof. The railings are gone but the access hatch is still there!

What's a widows walk?

@@DaaDeeOhAdventures That 'flat' area of the roof that used to be an observation deck and bordered with an ornate wood or wrought iron railing found on some Victorian homes, such as the farmhouse you explored here. The name 'widow's walk' came from the homes built in seaports, where wives of sailors and fishermen would peer out to sea watching for their husband's boats to return. If they didn't, the wives became widows and well, it must've been a common occurrence to have a name attached to a building feature! LoL Curiously though, your house doesn't seem to have attic access, maybe I missed it or maybe previous owners removed the attic stairs, perhaps?

I think someone climbed in the hole to steal a tire and pushed it out through the window; also does the truck have a motor or spark plugs, maybe took the battery....lol Great video!

Went out for a drive literally not even 15 minutes after watching this, and found the house while driving. It would have been such a nice property when it was still lived in

I notice many of the old farm houses in Canada are built so solidly with nice brick exteriors, nice and big too. I think it's a testament of just how sturdy these Canadian farm houses were built and the sturdy materials used...that even with the roof leaking and the house left to the elements, it's still holding up!! I bet this house was a real treat to live in when 1st built!!

Sad to think people once lived a great life here, great video! Is this close to Peterborough, if so where abouts? I'm getting into photography and would like to get shots of abandoned homes/vehicles and so on, I don't have plans on entering the homes as I'm not going to trust the structure at all. Anyways hope to hear back, thanks!

This property is amazing. Two staircases says it all. I cannot figure why it was left alone. Real estate is so dear in the Northwest U.S. and the Hawaiian Islands that this would at least be someone's summer house.
