Hi Dr Chung can you do a video on hemorrhoid scars from previous banding and mucosal prolapse surgery such as Delormes vs Rectopexy. Thank you you're fantastic.

I am a surgeon who has been using the O'Regan device for over 20 years. I use it together with an ANOSCOPE for direct visualization. This method is very effective. Originally, the O'Regan device was packaged with a proprietary slotted anoscope. The standard end viewing anoscope is much better at achieving visualization.

So glad I watched this! Explains a lot. I had the CRH O’Regan done with a GI Specialist a year ago and didn’t help at all, and was really expensive. I recently changed doctors and had the Barron band done today and noticed a bit of a difference during the procedure (a tad bit more painful) but feel pretty confident that the correct hemorrhoids were banded since they were actually looking as they were doing the procedure. I wish I would’ve done more research a year ago. Thanks so much for your videos!

Thank you, Dr. Chung! It's so easy to believe that a new kind of surgery will be the answer to our issues. I do hope that the future holds some real improvements for these procedures. I'm so glad that you're exposing these false claims. A lot of people fear a scope up their bottom ends. So they want to go for the less invasive procedure. But they don't understand the complications that can ensue. Keep educating us! At least we can come to the decision with full knowledge. I've had doctors tell me, well, good luck with that! They don't want to go near the problem. So maybe there's hope that they'll stay away from this thing, too!

Hi, Dr. Chung! I had the CRH O'Regan banding done by my gastroenterologist several years ago. She used an anoscope first, to identify the best target. I had fantastic results.

Dr Chung. I’m close to having this done as I just had a colonoscopy today. My dr told me he can and will target the largest hemorrhoid first. He is a GI specialist. He also said he would talk to me as he’s doing it to make sure there is no pain. He seems very knowledgeable on it.

Thank you Dr. Chung. Unfortunately I fell for this scam and you're right I don't think the practitioner had any idea what she was doing. After three visits, I still am suffering. They couldn't tell me how many hemorrhoids I have and I'm sure they missed them all. Can they be held accountable for lying to patients? I don't feel like these people should be allowed to do this. Now their sending me bills for about $800 after telling me it would cost $19 per visit.

Hi doc chung,❤ . I'm having the bleeding issue from quite a few years now. I do constipate frequently. The last time i had constipated was around December 2022 or jan 2023. It was only for 1-2 days. But since then m bleeding continually. Even if the stool is pretty normal and soft, it still bleeds. I don't have any pain though. However, when passing stool, it feels like it's getting stuck somewhere in the way down there.. Like a speed breaker. Can you please help me? 😊

My family doctor did a banding 30yrs ago thought I had hemmoroids he was wrong because later I saw a gastro and had a sigmoid he did not mention hemmoroids but said I had a fissure. So I dont know what my family doc did except make money on the insurance? Now I do have hemmoroids big time. Also wondering if they cant see up there could inexperienced docs leave scarring?

Question sir, I asked on a prior video. In discussed with my self to a point- but this is out of my control. Recently had 2 bandings done. Both bands came off what I think is prematurely- first was 10 hrs, second was 18 hrs. In between banding failing off, had the use the restoom- surprised very minimal if any bleeding and no swelling or sign of internal popping out. Is it possible that it actually worked? Was it on enough to kill it off? I read at least a minimum of 4 hrs to start the effect of withering. Your experience on success of the patients that call with banding falling off before 24 hrs. * I will say- still feels alittle weird like it is still there. Sorry for the book of questions. I saw a colorectal surgeon- used the forceps in the hole to grab ahold of vs a suction type

Thank you thank you thank you I was supposed to have this procedure done by my gastroenterologist, and I ask a simple question, are you going to use an anal scope? The answer was no, so I walked out of the office right away I canceled it. Thank you so much for your advice. I will look for a proper doctor for this procedure.

Dr Chung. I had my first banding done with this today. I talked to my Dr about not being able to see. He is a GI dr and he didn’t a colonoscopy on me prior to the banding. He said he knew what area my largest hemorrhoid was in and that is the area he targets first. I have a second banding scheduled in two weeks. I guess I’ll find out how it goes. Today was no pain, just pressure in my bottom end.

Hi Dr. Chung! Your channel is awesome! In Canada doctor appointments feel rushed and I am mostly just told to go eat some fibre, but I've had (I think) internal and external haemorrhoids for years now. Would really love to see a video on whether surgery is necessary for external and internal ones when the only activity that causes issues is anal. Something no one mentioned which you have is that: hemmeroids start normal and enlarge over life, to different degrees, and then require surgeries when large enough to seriously impact life. So, that means every time I bottom (receptive anal sex) and I slowly notice the hemmeroids starting to ache or flare up, I am causing them to get larger? Therefore, I shouldn't bottom until receiving surgery? But I have heard that some surgeries can leave scar tissue which causes you to be tighter in an unpleasant way. Can this be stretched/healed over time? Would love to see another video on anal sex but with hemmeroids present. Thanks again for your channel which is super in depth and doesn't rush me out the door. Nice to feel seen, in a way. I will think of you as being in my corner when I next actually manage to get in for banding. Much love.

It is “easier” because you don’t need to have any knowledge of the anus. Just stick it in and band something….anything!

So how can this be aloud by the medical professional organizations? How can any physician/assistant really want to do this? So, the patient awake?!?! Is there a legal/medical loophole here? Bottom line??? Don’t do it!! As always thanks for the education.. 😊

I've never heard of family doctors or nurse practitioners doing CRH O'Regan. I go to Jay P. Diliberto, MD (board-certified gastroenterologist) out in Huntington Beach with over 30 years experience and i had external, internal you name it. All he used was the CRH O'Regan system and it's quick and easy. FYI they put a scope inside first in order to evaluate what you have before using the CRH O'Regan system. He's done like 10,000 of these. His expertise in banding is on another level. The banding technique and equipment you use Dr. Chung is pretty old and pretty large comparatively speaking to shove up someone's ass. No thanks.
