Good explaining of everything thank u i just bought my cricut maker 3 and learning how to cut the wood. My knife blade is not cutting all the way through any suggestions? Thanks

How can you make a large name sign? Do you use this same technique? Thanks

bsherman2219 the largest you can cut is 11.5X23.5 and with wood the largest you can cut is 11”X23.5 and that’s if you can find compatible wood that’s large enough. Most large name signs you see are cut with a scroll saw or laser cut

You selected the 1/16 setting but said you used wood thicker than cricut suggested. Cricut suggests no thicker than 3/32 which is 2.38mm. How thick was the wood you used? 3mm- 1/8” ?? I’m struggling to find wood in the dimension that I need, smaller than 3mm thick

Mikki Courtney i couldn’t remember how thick my wood was so I chose the 1/16 because I knew it was basswood and that’s the thicker setting. I’ve only been able to find thicker basswood at JOANNs and you can use a coupon on it
