I remember wanting a set of the crimson talons about 20 years ago when I was a kid first starting to hunt. Kinda cool to see these comeback 2 decades later.

Lusk Archery Adventures looks like they also used better materials because I remember the guy at the bow shop telling me I didn’t want those because the blades are brittle and break easily. Watching you shoot steel plate seems to rectify that they fixed that issue.

These are hands down the best broadheads I have ever used. I shoot 70lbs and every Deer I have hit with these go nowhere. I have seen these shoot clean through both shoulders of a blacktail and come out the other side perfectly fine. Was sad when they first went out of business but I'm so glad to see they are back, have been having a hell of a time finding another broadhead to replace them and I'm really glad I won't have too.

John I realize this video is old but when you show the arrow weights, is that weight before you add the head or with the test head added. Love your videos. Even if you never shoot a concrete block, lots of good data for comparison of heads. Thanks for what you do

Shocked they did this well. I lost a nice buck with the original crimson talon 15 years ago. Broadside from a ground blind at 12 yards and the broadhead crumpled like it had hit a brick wall. Literally 1/2” penetration. I wish I had that buck and a photo of the stunned look on my face lol!

Yeah, they did very well. New owner now, and he's really passionate about making quality heads at low prices.

I was very surprised the G2 survived. I sheared off two blades on a whitetail's ribs once. Luckily it did get the job done. It looks like they may have made some improvements since then, or my experience was just one of those flukes that happen while hunting. They may be worth another look.

I’m glad they remade these heads. I wish they would bring the viper venoms back and make them a little better like they did the G2.

I still have the 100 Gr Viper Venoms new in the sealed packs . I bought them from somewhere and just never used them but I did open one pack a few years back just to keep one arrow with that viper head on it because I started getting to many coons and possums coming in while deer hunting . I know on my bow that head would spin so fast it caused lift on the front of the arrow shaft but they were sharp but couldn't take hitting anything like bone or you could throw them away .

The blades are curved in the direction so that if you don't have them really tight, they can spin of during flight. I know from experience & I never found the deer.

They are right helical. So they tighten as they fly and penetrate--not the other way around.

I used these for couple years and they flew great and made great holes and blood trails. One doe I shot bled completely out! When I field dressed her there was zero blood in the body cavity.

Yeah, I am. They worked well for me. I took a deer with one and it made a really nice hole.

Yeah, I took a big doe with the Red one....There's a video of it here on my channel. It made a really nice hole, and still looked brand new.

Really enjoy your videos great job.. there's a Broadhead out now out of Australia called The True Blood it actually sets behind your Broadhead hunter green I'm going to be using that with a tooth of a arrow this year for my Whitetail hunts I'd like to see a review on that and what you think I know you're not a big fan of Mechanicals but this is like the best of both worlds the wound Channel it's just out of hand hope to see that soon keep up the good work have a blessed day

Man those blades look thin on the first two! I wouldn’t trust them, personally. The outlaw doesn’t look bad.

They do look thin--but then they held up to 5 shots thru steel plate. Can't ask for much more than that.

Is it low 1 or 2 at all your pin ranges?

That's a good question by Jackson. I don't do any broadhead tuning; I just have my bow well tuned and have high FOC and use helical vanes--so honestly, I can just screw on almost any head and it flies with my field points. But most fixed blades do reveal any imperfections in bow tuning or spine of the shafts. You can broadhead tune by shooting a field point and a broadhead. Then adjust the rest in very small increments, chasing the field points, until they are both hitting in the same spot. Then adjust your sight to that spot.

Bump your rest up and you'll be fine. Like 1/64th of an inch at a time until broadheads meet field tips

Wanted the exodus to fly well but tried everything I knew to do and so far the only heads I can’t get to fly right.
