I've watched msu, Winston is sneaky good, very smart player, and the experience they have as a team. Zion is a great athlete, only reason the game was that close, but I didn't expect Duke to win it all, not after seeing that they didn't have consistent long range shooters.

After watching my Vols play in the tournaments I have to say that Duke reminded me of them, but they were playing better. What I mean is they didn’t seem to play their best basketball for the full game. Just barely enough to get by and In both cases it caught up to them. Two teams I am very happy I got to watch play.

Izzo coached his players while coach K stop coaching and just relied on talent... he used to coach but since these new one and done athletes it's not the same at Duke!

Nick Wright is wrong about one thing: This was not the most talented TEAM Duke's had in 20 years. This was the most talented PLAYER (Zion) and 2nd option player (RJ Barrett) he's ever had. This Duke team had no bench players and a freshman liability at point guard. In the last 20 years for Duke, the 2001 and 2015 teams were more talented from starters to bench players.

Good point Will Man. Bagley was great last year. Wendell Carter was good. Duval & Trent were okay. Day tripper Allen was okay. ZIon was over the top. Barrett was very good at times but prone to hero ball. Reddish and Jones were big disappointments.

RJ went 0-2 and was fouled on the third. But Trey was 2/5, O'Connell no shots, Reddish 2/8, Bolden 0/1, White 0/2. The exception was DeLaurier 5/5. Zion also got beat on Michigan State's last score

I give Mich St props. They are a good team and played with poise. The game could have gone either way. Two great teams, two great coaches. Mich St played better. That’s how it goes. If Duke where to play Mich St again, Duke would probably win if they played better than Mich St. One must consider Dukes freshman starters and their inexperience and first time in the elite 8 venue. That’s a lot of weight to carry for freshman.

I do think its bad for c.k because if givin the oppertunity to teach these players anthor yr or 2 they would have had a team that could win it all. john harris How is that whining? RJ went 2 of 4 on the last two free throws attempts. If he made 3 of 4 the game is tied going to OT. If he made 4 of 4 Duke goes to the final 4. Zion can’t make free throws when he gets foul and 1. The two best players are shooting in the 6O % range. Basketball analyst said Duke weakness is the 3pt and free throws before the Tournament started that’s a fact.

Michigan state was just the better team. Duke was up 9 in the first half and could have taken it from there but msu went on a 13-0 run to end the half. If msu could have hit their foul shots and not missed all those lay ins they probably would have won by a lot more.

Nobody's talking about the real reason why Duke lost. Cam reddish he's horrible. Turnover prone, doesn't space the floor, has no passion for the game. I've watched him literally stand in the corner almost every possession. Not once did he flash to the top of the key to move the offense. That's why it was so hard for them to score. No movement which lead Zion and rj to play alot of iso ball and forced bad shots.....

@epicface34100 well your mich st lost 3 in a row against purdue indiana illinois .illinois is garbage .indiana swept mich st this season indiana isnt good there garbage lost to louisville also isnt very good .and if u r a real mich st fan u know mich st has 2 titles only 1979 2000. Msu lost to wisconsin in final four 2015 .but DUKE beat wisconsin 68 -63 in national title 2015

@@johnhancock1362 will see the texas tech game if u open up your big mouth texas tech doesnt have all freshman tgere playing seniors and juniors good ball handlers can pick and pop set screens for shooters they have a big man owens that can rim protect they got 2 guards tgat can rotate the bench .they have snilers at the 3 line .a pg that can hit 3s and transition defense that can score and drive the ball

@@johnhancock1362 duke lost also because rj barrett was playing hero ball just a 18 yr old freshman .made alot of mistakes ball hogging .mich st had to guard the paint with 4 men around it .dukes freshman made alot of nistakes cam reddish didnt play his game .i expected duke not to even get to the elite 8 .mich st shoukd have won by atleast 15 with all the dukes turnovers
