This is not as good as how i pictured it inside my head, my limitations as an artist is starting to become apparent. It took me so long to draw all of this because I was erasing and drawing and erasing and drawing over and over and in effect i might have overworked my right hand, it is not moving how i want it to. I'm icing my hands and shoulders everyday now and wearing wrist braces to prevent any further strain.
I couldn't rest, im uneasy, it bothers me that I am not seeing any clear signs of improvement on the visuals and my work efficiency. I am obsessed at the idea of being someone that's really really excellent at this. I'm trying to scale this wall that I am not sure is actually there.

@@VeganStories And with the flashbacks to ExA, probably from their size differences alone (and the music) it had this "a family is being broken up against their wishes" feeling to it that hit me HARD. Look at that last flashback and tell me you don't see two parents with their kid sleeping between them. Chances are, if you are a parent, you can't say you don't see it. I'm going to go cry now.

I loved Orym trying to hold Fearne back, not wanting to make things tougher on Dorian...and I loved Fearne pulling her hand free and asking Dorian to stay anyway. Two totally different ways of showing their love, neither allowed to dominate the other.

Don't be so hard on yourself. The true success of this video is in the staging---the emotions present in the character's faces, posing, how the shots are framed. It made my heart catch in my chest, which surprised me. You got the emotional core of this scene across in a compelling way, and that deserves compliments.

Hey, take it easy on yourself, progress takes time and as a person, you'll always be your worst critic. You bring me and a whole bunch of other critters joy at seeing moments from the campaign(s) brought to life. As a viewer, just looking at your early videos of this campaign and these latter ones, I can see how much you've put into enhancing the design of the characters - that Launda eye roll in "Dress Up" is still one of my absolute favorite things. Each project is a chance to learn, even if it's not where your vision is yet, you'll get there. Please don't push yourself too hard or you might just lose access to the tool (your hands) that allow you to do this work. And it's a *lot* of work, your ability to create these in such a short amount of time blows my minds because not only are you creating the images for these animatics, but you're editing them with sound effects and other VFX. This animatic alone is enough to make us to feel the feelings, so you're doing something right. 💘

You’re not going to see any improvement in scaling a wall you’re building. I know you’ve expressed before that you can’t stand to take a break in your work, but just know that you’re always going to be your biggest critic. Your work is fantastic, and even if it isn’t as “good” as you want it to be, it’s still more than what most of us are doing. You’re creating, pushing something into the world. You’ve not plateaued; your standards have just gotten higher as you’ve become more skilled in understanding art as a whole. Stick in there.

Hey. Listen to me. I've been subscribed to you for a long time now, I've seen your videos dozens of times, I show them to people that I know like CR. You're an excellent animator and artist and you may not believe this but you ARE actually improving. Your work gets better and better literally every time you take pen to paper. You can only see the negatives, the downsides, because you can't be objective, you're THE artist who's creating the art. But I think you should try and see it from an outside perspective, your fans especially, who appreciate and love your videos and think of you as a truly excellent member of the critter community. You bring prestige and talent to this motley crew, and your dedication and talent is truly commendable. Every video you make I see the improvements, you gotta just *keep going* . Try to release your self-judgement and create art that you love for the sake of the JOY of CREATING ART, especially knowing you bring *US* so much joy. We love you MNS. ♥ You're amazing. Don't let your self-doubt cloud your judgement. You're an incredible artist and very loved.

This is fantastic. on the subject of what you said in your description, exponential improvement is definitely possible, but it takes time. you can't expect every piece you make to be markedly better than the last, in my experience with drawing; a piece that is significantly better than the last is something that only happens every once and a while, however, subtle increases in quality are something that happen with every drawing, and only when looking back at your older art do they become obvious. also, you are already "really really excellent" there literally is not a better CritRole animator on KZfaq, in art quality or upload quantity.

It can be hard to see that a skill is improving sometimes, but the erasing and redrawing and erasing and redrawing are part of that process, and eventually you'll discover that it made a difference. (Just take it easy on your hand, that's kind of a crucial part of the whole thing). Plus, the Fearne POV when she realizes Dorian is leaving is really amazing.

Just dropping by to say how much I adore every one of your videos that I've seen, and how much they've improved over time. Your work isn't at the quality you expected it to be by now, but progress is finding its footholds in the beautiful details: the emotion in the faces, the staging and realizing of scenes, the tiny little ways that you convey and even amplify things from the show, bringing them in greater light to our eyes. It works the same way in Shakespeare, where the text comes alive on stage. And I think it's beautiful to see that at play here. As for overworking your hand, I've had issues with that in my own art. I hope that you're able to give it the rest that it needs, even if it's against your nature to do so. It's easy to throw out self-care when the art drive is at its strongest, but your hand is one of your art tools. Keeping that tool in good, usable condition is an investment in the continued future of your work here. And we would all direly miss it if it was gone. Your Crit Role animations are honestly one of the cornerstones (maybe the cornerstone) of the fandom here. Every single one is hilarious, meaningful, electric... I've referenced your Divine Intervention animatic more than once for art and writing, because of how beautifully you visualize the scene. Little by little, please believe that as your visions for your animatics grow greater, so will their quality reach further and further. But I hope that you can pursue those visions in good health. Sorry for the lengthy comment, I know you're getting a lot of them. But your content has meant a lot to me since I started watching, and I empathize with some of what you said. I'll be wishing you greater peace and happiness with your art, when the time comes. Please be well, Morbid

I've watched this again and again and each time I notice another little detail that makes me all misty eyed all over again. Thank you for making this! Your work is wonderful; and while there will always be something, no matter how small, that you the artist will not like, just know that each one of these animations bring the characters to life in subtle ways that aren't possible at the table. I hope you will take time and pace yourself as you continue moving forward. Rest is just as important as repetition when improving any skill! I always look forward to your videos because you truly capture the emotions of the characters and their mannerisms, this was beautiful and it really shows how much love you have for animation, so please take it easy and don't be so hard on yourself you have a lot of fans on here including myself. If you have to take a break and rest your body please do your health is far more important than anything else we'll all still be here no matter how long the wait.

You aren't where you want to be but you managed to make this scene even more emotional and powerful than it already was. Please take care of your body so that you can continue to improve.

It looks great to me. I saw all of your clips, you come very far and improve every day. I believe that you still didn't reach your "limitation". I am routing for you.
